Artair kept up with Alice best he could. Jumping though the hole, he ran, swinging his large sword at anyone close enough. He gave out a few yells but no real words. Just aaaggghhh or something like that.
The destroyed wall was easy to see from his vantage point. But he noticed only two had entered. He shot two arrows into the gap of the broken wall, taking down two more bandits before they could swarm through. A heap on the ground looked to be Ervaina. He drew up beside her, an arrow ready to be loosed at the broken down wall.
Bella, for her part, went to nose the downed chef.
"You alright?" Nathan asked, acutely aware that he had six arrows left and that the open wall before them left them exposed.

Ervaina's dizziness had just started to fade when Bella and Nathan came over to check on her. "I'm fine, just used too many spells at once." She told them, sitting up slowly and giving Bella a shaky pat. After another few seconds, she grabbed her staff and carefully got to her feet. A couple deep breaths later, her usual manic smile was back on her face.
"All right you two, time to add the last ingredients to this pot of stew!" She declared, thrusting out her staff and zigzagging toward the gap in the wall. Not because she was trying to avoid any incoming arrows, but simply because she was currently unable to walk anything close to a straight line.

Artair had a few cuts on him, but was still fighting like mad man. He locked swords with one, while kicking another. Then broke the lock and brought down the sword on an angle between the right shoulder and neck. After that last one he started to look around for another to fight
With Ervaina weaving all over the place, he couldn't let her go into battle that way by herself. "I'm coming with you," Nathan said. Bella took the lead, ears up at the sound of fighting, her fur raised in aggression.
He hesitated briefly--to save his arrows or not to save his arrows. A bandit rushed them suddenly and he had no choice. An arrow sprouted through the man's chest and he fell heavily to the ground. Bella growled, sensing the threat coming from the left.
"Right." His arrows would be gone in seconds.

Alice reached the inside of the building, taking down several bandits as she flew through. Tossing and spinning reflexively. Though her sensitive sight failed her when light reflected off someone's belt and blinded her and sent her crashing into a heap of metal that had be laid along the wall. "Oooh." she groaned and tried to blink back the light.
Instantly they grabbed her by the arms and held her as they beat into her stomach, but she managed to wrap her tail around someones dagger and stab them in the thigh making them yell in pain as they fell. Everything seemed too blurry and unfocused that now she was too vulnerable and kept getting pounded hard into another wall. Her teeth sharpened and she fought the transformation as she charged at them again.

Artair saw Alice enter and started to follow but was held up by some bandits that didn't know when to quit. He swung his claymore a few times, chopping limbs off, breaking lesser weapons, and punching when his sword would've been too slow to bring back. He eventually did get inside, and saw Alice charging a group. He smiled and yelled as he charged as well, but from the opposite direction
She smiled as she saw him come from the different direction and slew through several body with claws that had grew in length. Soon she was half way through them. "Beat you up the stairs!" Alice said as she took down one more. Leaving him with a few of his own. Then she leaped, skipping several stairs and ran up them. Now she would help take down the archers so that Ervaina and Nathan wouldn't be killed from above.
"No fair!" Artair yelled at her. There were three of them. He quickly took care of them, then started to run after Alice. he was sweating and panting now. "no...Fair!...I...call...magic use..." He tired calling out, but barely above a whisper
Wobbling through the battlefield, Ervaina had to blink a few times to keep her vision clear. The smoke from Taromae's fire had started to drift her way, making it hard to see in places. Someone shouted and she turned just as one of the outlaws burst through a wall of smoke at her, a double-bladed axe raised over his head. Immediately raising her staff, a flurry of sharp spaghetti noodles shot forth digging into his face and piercing one of his eyes. He screamed, dropping his axe and going to pull the pointed pasta from his face. Unfortunately for him, he let go of the axe before lowering it, and it landed on his head. Edge first.
Staggering as the one bandit collapsed, another two with spears came running. Wondering how off Brie's estimation was, she swept her staff at them, a clear viscous liquid spraying from the end and coating the ground. The pair of them slipped and slid partway through it as Ervaina moved around the puddle they were now pretty much in the middle of. One of them yelled that they wondered what it was in less than polite terms, so she told them.
"It's cooking oil." Glancing from them to a little fire nearby, she swung her staff again. "Now, who's up for a little Bandit Flambe?" Another cascade of oil poured from her staff, connecting the puddle with the fire. Both of them panicked when they saw the flames coming, flailing like fools until the blaze engulfed them and the screaming started.
Casually walking away from the inferno, Ervaina looked around curiously, wondering if they were done yet. There were bigger and better fish to fry than these rotten anchovies.

Nathan had his own hands full. The quiver was emptying quickly as the bandits rushed him. His greatest fear came at seeing the battle-axes. Damn, his daggers would hold up against a sword, but a battle axe was pushing things. And then there was Bella. She was pressed against his leg, fur bristled in warning, unsure of her next action.
"Shit." His fingers found empty air as a bandit with a battle-axe rounded on him from the left. He grabbed for his daggers, intending to sidestep the charging man, but there was a flash of black and the man was on the ground, a bristling wolf at his throat.
"Bella! Off!" Nathan shouted, his daggers firmly in hand. The wolf moved off, her gaze locked on the bandit's, and with a grimace, Nathan finished him off. "I'm out of arrows," he warned Ervaina, before turning to dodge another attacking bandit.

Her head popped around a corner and looked at him. "Tired already? Must be the skirt..." she said provokingly. Then she quickly ran back up the stairs hoping he wouldn't kill her later. Someone was aiming at Bella and pulled back their bow but her angry snarl caught his attention and she took him out by snapping his neck. Then reduced two more archers to ash. Something caused a sharp pain in her side and she saw the dagger that the man had stabbed there.
"It's a goddam kilt!!" He yelled up "why do people make fun of the kilt? Has no one seen one before?" He mumbled to himself. When he got up, he saw her hurt, he started to help, taking out a archer himself. "Alice! I'll be right there!" He called, then head butted a guy he had locked swords with. when the guy went down, Artair stabbed him, then pulling out the sword, worked his way over to Alice. Taking out the last of the archers on the roof. Once he got to her, "are you alright?" He asked putting his hand on her shoulder
She looked bewildered at the dagger in her side. "I...I think so..." Her eyes went back and forth between slitted and round. Her hand shook as she wrapped it around the hilt and tugged at it which almost made her fall to her knees. "Y-you should go help them. I will be fine." She managed to smile at him through the pain.
Ervaina glanced at Nathan and frowned. An archer who was out of arrows, great. Eyes darting around, she didn't spot what she was after until she looked up. A corpse on one of the makeshift overwatch towers. A shout came from behind her and she turned just in time to see what was coming and block the sword with her staff. She staggered back as she blocked a second swing, quickly conjuring a sphere of milk when the attacker drew back for a third blow and shooting it in his face. It hadn't had time to build up any force, but it was enough of a distraction to interrupt his attack and give Ervaina the chance to slam the narrow end of her staff into his throat.
When the bandit dropped, gagging and grasping his neck, she spun back around and nailed the wooden planks under the archer's corpse with a proper milk magnum, breaking them and getting the body to plummet to the ground. She hurried over to it, ripping the quiver of arrows off its back. It only held five, but she was sure Nathan could do more with that than just his dagger. She'd planned to run over and hand them to him, but the bandit she'd struck was back on his feet and coming at her again, although more slowly and wheezing as he moved.
"Nathan!" She yelled, throwing the quiver in his direction as hard as she could so she'd have both hands free. Parrying the sword as it came again, she swore. It was too hard to cast spells in close combat, and she needed some distance for the ones she had to be effective anyway. Hopefully Nathan, or Bella or someone would get the arrows and take her attacker out before either she missed a block or he cleaved right through her staff. She was paying these people to keep her from getting killed after all, though she doubted they'd give the gold back if they failed to do so.

Nathan spun, hearing his name and caught sight of the quiver launched in his direction. He saw the attack however, and knew he wouldn't reach it in time. "Bella! Defend!" he commanded.
The wolf leaped from his side to Ervaina's, her gold eyes seeking that of the bandit's and, amazingly, halting the sword's descent in mid-swing. Nathan caught the quiver, grabbed his bow, and in a fluid movement that was hardly human--though really it was just years of practice--he had shot an arrow, burying it in the attacker's throat.
"Thanks!" he yelled, sheathing his daggers again. "Are we getting close?"

Artair shook his head, "Not just yet." He went around the dead bodies, finding some clean rags, he brought them back, gently pulled out he dagger. "Sorry..." He said,as he pulled it out, then put the rags against the wound and wrapped the rest around her, so the rags would stay in place. Once done, he looked at her. "Ok, just relax here, I'm going to see if there's anyone left..." He stood up and ran back down the stairs. He didn't see anyone, and once outside, he still couldn't see anyone. He saw Chef and Nathan, and ran towards them. "Is there anyone left?" He called out to them as he ran
She yelped and gripped the side of the wall as he pulled out the dagger. Happy to have it out, but still in too much pain to protest as he stayed a little longer to wrap her side. Before she could manage a 'thank you' he had ran down stairs. So she slide to a sitting position and wrapped her head in her arms. Alice didn't know she had blacked out when the sharp pain in her side woke her again. Wait again? Was her last thought as she blacked out once more.
Nathan spun and aimed an arrow at Artair's approaching form before recognizing him. He lowered the bow, noting the urgency. "Ervaina and I are fine. What happened, Artair? Didn't you and Alice head out...?" The look of horror crossing Nathan's face was him thinking that maybe Alice had been killed already--or horribly wounded.
"Where is she?" he demanded when the briefest movement just past Artair warned Nathan of a surprise attack. In a swift movement, Nathan brought his bow up and shot an arrow just over Artair's shoulder--dropping a bandit trying to sneak up from behind.

Artair quickly looked at the bandit, then back at Nathan. "Oh, she's fine. She got a dagger in her, so I patched her up, then left her after she told me to...she should be fine. there wasn't anyone left in the building...she should be fine.."
