The vet checks her and then comes out with her 20 minutes later and she has a cast. "Her leg is broken." He says.
He hands Shadow to Night.
" gee you don't say"

"No need to get smart with me. Just keep her off her leg and come back if the pain is to severe." He says to them.
Shadow nods. She nuzzles Night.
"Can we go home now?" She asks.
" of course sweetie" he whispers and soon enough brings her home for more rest

" fish or chicken ?" He asks knowingly
"Fish." She says.
" you little missy are a walking talking stereotype" he says before leaving for the kitchen and coming back with a whole Salmon and sitting down next to her on the bed and petting her
"No I'm not!" She says.
She sniffs the Salmon...
