"Hey, I'm not an airhead, just cause my name's Airea."She'd pout, looking up through her lashes, batting them ever so sweetly. "But you could be hit by my.. Airea of effect."Appearing about 18 years of age, she'd sit rather patiently amongst the others. Eyes held the hues liquid gold, full of trust and wonder. Quite the playful one, perhaps at times she appeared a tease, as she was dressed in a too small black tanktop and skirt that was just a shawl wrapped around her waist. Barefoot with only fox ears and tail, she looked nearly human.

With her family missing and possibly dead, she's alone in the world and looking for answers. Whether it be a guide, love, or just clues to her own identity, she's desperate for answers. Can you be the one to help/love her? Or will you lead her down a dark path?

a young man was walking down a dirt road. he stood 6"1' with longer brown hair and blue eyes. he adjusted his grey hoodie jacket and shook his head wearily. it had been a long day of walking. what he wouldn't give for a break. he carried on a little further till his eyes fell on a tree with a base of soft grass, to which he promptly walked over and sat happily underneath it.

Airea rested in that tree he sat under, sleeping off the night of travel. She wasn't aware he was beneath her, instead gently snoring about ten feet above him. Her ears and tail were hidden by the branches and leaves as it wasn't yet the end of summer. But the heat had died off some, while the northern winds started shifting into the valley.

It was a clear day, the sun shining overhead just after noon. When night fell again, Airea would awaken and move on from here with her supply pack.

the young man couldn't help but begin to get tired, a long night of walking would do that to man. his eye lids became heavy and spot he sat in became softer. the wind sweeping through the air made a relaxing noise as his head tilted back against the tree. his eyes reopened in surprise and his weariness was washed away by puzzlement however, as his eyes drifted toward the branching tree above him. he saw the usual greens and brown.....and pale skin.

Airea snored softly high above, her tail had drooped down some while she slept, only opening her eyes when the sun had set. Taking a swig of water to wash the grit out of her mouth, she stretched and looked around. What she didn't expect was the young man beneath her tree to be staring up at her, while she in turn stared down at him with those golden eyes. Not a word was said as she froze, unsure what to do and positive he was looking right at her.

"h...hello there"

he called out to her. he wasn't sure what here reaction would be, or what she would say, but nothing was really accomplished by just staring at each other.

She leaned closer to him, losing her balance as she yelped. Foxes really shouldn't climb trees, she thought on the way down as she fell through the air. With a crash, she, her pack and half her things fell on top of him. "Ow!!" Airea yelped, realizing after a moment she had landed on him. Quickly she got up, grabbing her bag and trying to stuff her intimates into it. "Eek, uh.. hi.. sorry. Are you okay?"

with a shake of his head, he shifts his weight back onto his feet and turned to her.

"i'm...fine. what were you doing in that tree?"

he says as he looks her up and down.

"and who are you?"

"I'm Airea, and I was taking a nap. You startled me so I fell, I'm sorry." She jammed her things into her bag a little deeper, making sure she got them all. "What's your name?"

Meanwhile, a bit far away from the Airea and Ion, but coming into view, a merchant is merrily pushing his large wagon of goods all by himself. Though what it may look like seeing that he's pushing it by himself without any help may look like it's impossible, but in reality he's using a special kind of magic and enchantments to make it very easy and manageable. After a while, coming into view of Airea and Ion underneath of a tree, noticing possible customers, he give a shout out to them...

"Hello over there! Traveling merchant here! Want to check out my wares and goods? I got plenty for your everyday needs." said the man happily

"my name is ion, pleased to meet you"

Airea held out a hand to Ion, smiling big until she heard the merchant. Turning to look, she gave a girlish squeak of excitement. "C'mon! Let's get some breakfast." She was light on her feet and quick, standing beside the merchant as she looked over his cart of things. First she wanted food, some jerky for the road and then something for breakfast. Muffins was what she was craving today, licking her lips as she waited near impatiently for the merchant to set up shop before them. "I'd like some beef jerky, venison too and then a few muffins with some juice please. Apple or orange is fine."

The man was taken by surprise by Airea's energetic nature, but got his act together in order to run his business.

"Sure thing, madam. I...don't got much in terms of venison, but I do have other choice meat that I'm sure you'll love, hopefully... Anyway, let's see what I can do to satisfy your request." said the man

The man heads on over to the back of his large pushwagon has he places is right hand on the back of the hidden doorway to bring up three circle layers of magic letter runes as he twists and turns them to make V, P, R, appear on the top. The runes shine brightly before disappearing, and a click sound was heard from inside the wagon, signaling the man that the wagon is now unlocked so that he can open it. The man soon opened the door as he make his way inside and knocks on the roof of his wagon to bring down a rope for him to immediately pull on it in order to open up his wagon for business. As the man gets everything ready, the left side of the wagon opens up for Airea to see inside as she sees him getting her order ready.

The man opens up a wine bottle filled with apple juice as he pours it in a large cup while he then opens up a large white box inside to get some ice to make nice and cold for her to drink. He then sets the apple juice aside at the display frame for Airea to take while the man continues to get the rest of her orders out of the way.

"I've seen many people in my life, but I've never seen someone like you, madam. I'm sure you got some interesting stories to tell. Oh, and my name is Vermillion by the way. A real sincere pleasure to meet you." said Vermillion with a smile

Vermillion then gets a bag of beef jerky out, and gives her three long sticks of it on the display frame before putting it away, and makes his way for the muffins.

"You want your muffins warm? Slightly toasted even? We got a wide variety of blueberry, strawberry, regular, and banana flavored. Also take a look at the white box inside for choice meats such as ham, roast beef, chicken, and salami. I also got cheese, fruits, and vegetables too. All sealed and chilled for freshness thanks to the magical ice plate on the bottom of the box." said Vermillion with pride

Airea drooled at the dried meat, her stomach growling in response. She took the chilled apple juice gratefully, sipping it to clear the bad sleep taste out of her mouth. As she watched him work in fascination, her eyes followed every move he made in the dying light. The sun would set soon and she would be wide awake, but for now she covered her mouth to hide a yawn.

"So how long have you been on the road?" She asked while he worked on her order, amazed with the cart and how it incorporated magic and manual labor. As he introduced himself, she smiled brightly, about to put out her hand to shake but refrained as he was working. "Nice to meet you Vermillion, I'm Airea. I was kind of hoping I'd find someone who knew something about my father. But if I'm the first you've seen, I doubt you've seen him." She pouted a little, taking the jerky from him and taking a bite to sate her growling stomach.

As she worked through her bite, he offered her the other items, to which she couldn't help but look impressed. "Strawberry and banana please, toasted if you wouldn't mind. And I'd like some roastbeef, ham and some grapes if you have them." She would make a nice lunch out of them she thought, tucking the rest of the jerky away while she continued to drink her apple juice.

"What brings you out this far from the cities? This is almost feral country." She asked both Ion and Vermillion, having been on her way to the next and last human outpost before the maps stopped. According to any map she could find, further west was uncharted territory with dense forest that no human returned from. But she wasn't afraid, and that along with her desire to meet her father, gave her the strength and courage to go on.

"A long time, madam. Granted this is the first time I'm out to these lands, but past experiences had me go through many towns, trading posts, and kingdoms in order to sell my wares, and in certain kingdoms to start and improve relations as I'm also an one of the many ambassadors to my kingdom called Alexcia, which it's far east from here close to the seaside." said Vermillion
"Pleasure to meet you, Miss Airea." said Vermillion with a smile "Looking for your father, eh? Well you are indeed correct that I can't possibly know him since this is not only the first time I've met you, but also this is the first time I ever came to this side of the lands. Since I'm very adventurous, I always like to go out to new places and experience new things. I also like to met new people, and you, by far, are the most interesting person I've come across."
"Understood, Miss Airea. You have quite a healthy appetite which is good. Also, if you want, I could have some of your food packed in these small white boxes here if you're likely going to take some on the road. I do have a couple, but not many since they're all specially made to keep food cold and fresh thanks to the plates of magical ice to keep it that way. We use very special magical practices in order to make those plates." said Vermillion while he continues to get her order ready

Vermillion grabs a strawberry and banana muffin from above his wagon as he then, with a little of his magic, uses his fire magic on the bottom to make them hot and a little slightly toasty. Vermillion was soon finished as he grabs two napkins and places the toasted muffins on them, and places them on the display frame for Airea to take

"Careful when handling and eating them as they are hot. I hope you enjoy them." said Vermillion with a smile

Vermillion then returns to get the rest of her order ready. He takes out the ham and roast beef as he also gets a very sharp clean knife to cut the meat into slices on a cutting board in front of the wagon. After cutting out a couple of pieces of both ham and roast beef, he then puts the meat away in the white box while also getting a bundle of grapes for Airea to take when she's ready to go.
"As for me, Miss Airea, I'm traveling to the last outposts around here to sell my goods and wares before heading back to my home kingdom of Alexcia, but at the same time I don't mind sticking around here seeing that this is a new area that we haven't explored. As dangerous as it could possibly be, I am very capable of defending myself with my swordplay and magic." said Vermillion proudly

"Alexcia..." Airea rolled the name around on her tongue for a moment, trying to get a feel for it. "Alexcia.. Alexcia.." Shaking her head, she blushed at his words about her being interesting. Though she guessed it was only from her unique appearance, she glanced over to her other companion who had remained oddly quiet.

"How much for the boxes?" She asked, feeling her change pouch at her hip becoming lighter with each thing on the counter. Money wasn't too much of an issue for her, but the next town was quite far and if she needed something in the interim it'd be a pain. But she thought his prices were quite fair considering how far they were from town.

She took the muffins and started to eat, offering half to her quieter friend. She didn't intend to starve him after she'd landed on him before, more surprised that he hadn't tried to arrest her or beat her for it like others did. Airea had been a trophy for hunters, a bounty poster, and quite a few other things she didn't care to think about lately. Humans, with their greed, made her shudder with revulsion sometimes.

Her ears twitched as she looked at him, tempting fate with his words. Scanning the treeline, she heard nothing this moment, and was thankful for it. "How much do I owe you, Vermillion?" She asked kindly, continuing to glance towards the trees as the sun set on the horizon towards town.

ion took what she offered with a smile.

"thank you very much."

ha says to her as he pulls out a small bag of money from his pocket.

"and if you would let me, i can pay for us."

"Hmm... I was going to say 70 coins for everything, but for you to be out here in this dangerous part of the lands, from what you've said Miss Airea, I'll say 35, if you don't mind me accompany you for a bit, or at least stick around here, to help find your father. I don't know why, but something about you compels me to help you in any way I can. This feeling is quite strange to me, but at the same time, I like this feeling.

Ah, forgive me for saying such weird things... Heh, heh, heh... Anyway, what do you say to that offer, Miss Airea?" said Vermillion with a valiant and honest smile of confidence

Airea smiled at both of them, nodding as she took another bite of her warm muffin. After chewing and swallowing, she spoke. "Sure, I like both of those ideas. And thank you, though you don't have to pay if you don't want to. I did in fact land on you." She blushed, clearing her throat as she gained her composure.

"Well there is one more human town before the wilds, you can stop there Vermillion, it's only a day or two away by foot. I wouldn't expect you to follow me to my father's front door, or into the human no-go zone." She had heard people talk of it like that, people going and then never returning. But she wondered why, if there was no sign of a struggle.

"That's no problem, Miss Airea. If there's anything dangerous out there, I'll fight and fend it off." said Vermillion with a smile "Besides I'm not really a human either technically, but I'm created to be like one though."

Vermillion then also remembers that he has other things that he could sell to Airea before closing up his wagon.

"I don't think I've told you this earlier, but I do have other things than just food. I have medicine, weapons, tools, clothes, and jewelry, if you desire or want to know more about them." said Vermillion
