The teen stared in slight shock. “Another hybrid?” she asked, processing what she was told.
Amity nodded. "Yes." He said.
New excitement filled Kitkat. “I’m a hybrid, too!” Grinning, she nearly let her ears and tail show but caught herself before she did.
He chuckled.
Calming down from her mania, KK looked at the floor. “Sorry, but I’ve been searching for other hybrids..”
"I gave up my search a long time ago."
“So you don’t know if there are others besides us?”
He shook his head.
KK felt her hopes sink some. “Oh..”
He hugged KK. "Don't worry. At least we're not alone, right?" He said. Then he let go and smiled. "Now come on to the back and I'll get the papers together."
“Right,” she nodded. Kitkat followed him as instructed, looking around as they went.
They soon got back and he handed her some papers.
The hybrid took out a pen and started filling the sheets out.
He waited patiently while Moon hummed.
Knocking the papers to straighten them out, KK held them out for him. “Here.”
He smiled. "Thanks." And got the papers.
“Thanks, Moon, Amity.” she smiled at them.
Moon smiled and so did Amity. "No problem!" They both said at the same time, then laughed.
“When will I start?” she asked politely.
"Whenever you want."
