"You'll learn more about us in a little bit, Miss Moon." said Viviana

The light performance soon ends as the door to the Cathedral very slowly opens with some creaking sounds. Once everyone enters the Cathedral, they noticed that they're not alone as someone is praying before the very large altar. She has beautiful sky blue hair and a blue ceremonial dancing dress to match, she is Sonia of what Vermillion talked about earlier during time where they're at the central intersection of the commercial side of Alexcia.

"Lady Sonia... Hmm... I'm not surprised that she's here... She's a very special person to us..." said Vermillion

As Moon looks around the Cathedral, she'll see that it's very beautifully made as shining hues of light of gold and bronze. Moon will also noticed that there's hardly any seats or benches, and an altar that is much more bigger and majestic than it really needs to be. She'll also noticed the stained glass showing various pictures of different things, but the four stained glasses above the altar are special as they depict mystical humans or creatures: One being a Queen, a princess, a mermaid, and an angel. There's always light going through the stained glass on the side, but from the four in the front it rarely does.

"This is beautiful..." She said.

"That it is, but we should be now paying attention of the woman right in front of us." said Viviana

Sonia gets up after her prayer as she turns around and sees everyone before her.

"Quite a large group we have here tonight... And I see one is a Neko and not a Homunculus..." said Sonia

"Yes, Lady Sonia, I brought her here in Alexcia. I can trust her with our greatest secret, and I'm sure you do the same too, right?" asked Viviana

"Hmm... She is a very interesting Neko with curious powers... She is also has a very...interesting...personality, but I do feel she's similar to me in a way..." said Sonia

"Similar to you in a way? Whatever could you mean by that?" asked Vermillion, acting very surprised and worried about this piece of news

"Worry not, Lord Vermillion... It's just that I feel like we share a common sorrowful experience that deeply changes us in a way..." said Sonia

"I-I see... Forgive my immediate concerns, Lady Sonia." said Vermillion as he immediately bows to her

"It's okay... We all can share a similar experience that can greatly change us in the future. Not all of them has to be sad though as some can be happy memories too." said Sonia with a beautiful sincere smile

"I did something I regret..." She said with a sigh. She looked down at the ground...

"It's okay not to share that experience with others, just so you know that even in the darkest of times that there are people there to support you through that darkness. Though I was made to be different from the others, who's secret can potentially destroy the balance of Alexcia indefinitely; I'm blessed to have friends to keep me from despair... But my one true wish is for a certain someone to accept me... But if I do tell her the truth, I'm afraid I'll do her more harm than good..." said Sonia, calm at the beginning, but turned sorrowful at the end

"Lady Sonia... Though we don't know what your purpose is, know that we'll do anything in our power to support you." said Vermillion

"Lord Vermillion... I thank you for those kind words..." said Sonia as she cheers up a little

Moon looks to Ms. Sonia and smiles. "Thank you..." She says. "But, no matter what you tell me, I promise to always treat each of you fairly." She says looking to each of them in turn.

"Thank you for accepting us for who we are." said Viviana

"We solemnly swear that we'll treat you the same way like one of us...a true friend..." said Vermillion

"Where you are standing is the place of our birth, the Cathedral, as all of us Homunculi are born here. We're not humans, but more less artificially created beings whose sole purpose is to follow our creators' will...the Great Spirits..." said Sonia

"Artifical, as she put it, is a very kind way of calling our race. In a somewhat more loosely, but somewhat more accurate truth, we are machines created with a human will. Of course, either term is correct, but Lady Sonia is being very nice as we are more than just machines created to follow a being's will." said Vermillion

"I understand." She said. "That is very interesting."

"In truth, all of us here are Homunculi. You'll never find any humans or demi-humans here. As such, Alexcia is pretty much, by far, the most well-orderly kingdom that you'll ever meet. Also, though we practice and have a natural understanding of magic, most comes from alchemy. Do you know what alchemy is, Miss Moon?" said Vermillion

She shook her head. "Never used it."

"Not surprising as it's a much more different practice of magic than people normally see and understand. Alchemy, can allow us to change the very laws of both magical and natural senses, such as creating life through of magic and crystallization synthesis, and transmuting one thing to another thing entirely within our powers to name a few processes. However, our alchemy is more subtle and small in practice as manipulating and changing too much of nature's natural laws and creation can lead to very disastrous results, one of which can potentially ruin the world's natural balance entirely, and thus will send all of us down the road to ruin." said Vermillion

"It's like Lord Vermillion said, our alchemy is very restricted to creation of human lifeforms, us, as Homunculi; and means and processes to make our lives much easier." said Sonia

She nodded. "I understand."

"I'm impressed you managed to understood all of that, even our most detailed explanations falls through the ears of the general public, and thus would see us as heretics and/or demons from knowing and practicing this magic. Which is why we never have this kind of information leave Alexcia, or say it outside of it. But also, because we predicted that this may likely happen, this sort of case never happens at least once as we subconsciously accept that people will never understand us no matter how delicate our explanations or practices may be. This is why we normally, though very little, practice our alchemy in private, secluded, places away from the public." said Viviana

"Now because that we're a created species, I'm sure you're wondering who's responsible for our creation, right? Well needless to say that we've already said the ones who are responsible for our creation, which are the four Great Spirits." said Vermillion

"They sound like powerful beings." Moon said.

"In understanding, yes, they are quite powerful beings; but in reality, they are not as powerful you may think they are. They're not powerful enough to consider them as goddesses or deities of any kind because they actually have physical bodies, and that they're tied down to the world's natural plane. They are a bit more powerful than mystical creatures such as Great Fairies, so in a way they are between deities and Great Fairies in terms of power." said Vermillion

"As such, we are created for the sole purpose of caring and protecting them because without their blessing we'll become nothing more than lifeless shells, destined to fade away for all time..." said Sonia

"Yeah... And our creation happened after that one fateful night..." said Vermillion sadly

Sonia also turns very sad as she knows what Vermillion is talking about. Viviana and Mai have no idea, but knows that it's something that they shouldn't talk about carelessly.

Moon looked at them curiously.

"Oh they're not here, Miss Moon. The Great Spirits rarely ever show themselves, but the stained glasses up above the alter represents what they look like in their real forms." said Viviana

"But I believe that they will appear themselves to you someday. They are really nice and benevolent beings whose only wish is to live in peace, and to make new friends." said Sonia

"But despite that, there some bad people and/or evil beings who what to take and abuse their powers for their own ambitions. Because of this, some Homunculi are created to be able to fight. I'm one of them, a hero who is gifted with the Holy Exorcism Knightsword called the Durandal." said Vermillion as he brings out his Durandal from his back for Moon to see; Still wrapped up in white rags

After a while, the Durandal's blade, still wrapped, shines brightly as it burns away the rags in white flames. The Durandal shines dimly, but radiantly, before everyone's eyes.

"The Durandal was made by the Great Spirits, and it holds some special powers. Because it's a sword that specializes in purification, it's made not to cause grievous or piercing wounds as it insteads purifies and banishes the darkness which makes evil revile." said Vermillion

"That's amazing!" she says.

"Despite how amazing it really is, I really don't use it that much because I don't like to fight; but if it's for a friend, if it's for a peaceful world, I won't hesitate to fight." said Vermillion

"I told you before, Miss Moon, that I can fight too, but I don't have the skills to be competent on my own. Still I want to do my best to help too with my magic powers of healing." said Viviana

"Sadly I can't fight, nor that I even want too... Fighting is very sad, painful, and scary..." said Sonia sorrowfully

"I'm with Lady Sonia as well as I don't want to fight either. I just want to be a maid and take care of people, which I'll be more than happy to take care of you, Miss Moon." said Mai very gleefully
