As they traveled to the bookstore, the church bells were heard signaling that it 12 o'clock noon right now. Once they arrived and went inside, they were greeted by the woman in charge as the man was out in the back at the time they arrived.

"Hello, Miss Moon. Here to check up on the current sales of your series of books?" asked the woman

"Yes. As a matter of fact, I am." She said with a smile.

"I thought so~ Well good news that your books are selling very well. They also have a positive reception with the public, especially to the children. Even I was hooked on to reading one book, though I haven't finished reading it yet. Anyway, as of now, we managed to sold 30 books of your series, some of the series being more popular than others. In any case, we do need more books as we are about to run out, but more importantly we need some extra copies to send to other bookstores in the other two main districts." said the woman

"Wow though... 30 books sold in one day is amazing enough, you even had some sold for free during the book signing. You're starting to become really popular around here now." said Mai

She smiled. "Looks like I am." She said. She made more copies with a snap of her fingers. "There you go." She said.

"How did you manage to do that instantly? What kind of magic did you use?" asked the woman, surprised by how many books there are now

"Big sis is just amazing like that. Which is surprising coming from a Neko, right?" said Mai

"Yeah. She's kinda like the Great Spirits in a way which would be very surprising." said the woman

"Well in any case, you now got your additional copies for both your store, and for the others to give." said Mai

"Yes, and now since you're here, we can give you your first payment." said the woman

The woman takes a sack of 60 coins from the bottom of the counter as she sets it aside from Moon to take.

"As promised, because we managed to sell 30 of your wonderful books, here's 60 coins." said the woman

"Needless to say that there's a lot of things you can do with just 60 coins." said Mai

She touches the stack and it goes to a bank that she has. "There." She said. "It went to a bank I own." She explained.

"Don't you mean a stash? I mean, granted that I don't know much on what happens outside of Alexcia, but I never heard of anyone owning a bank." said the woman

"Big sis is special like that~" said Mai

"Yes, of course. We don't have banks here because our currency can go a long way here, so people end up not carrying much money around, nor that they don't receive too much of it in return. Needless to say that giving you 60 coins almost closely resembles how many the aristocrats used and receive." said the woman

She nodded. "It's very difficult to understand your currency..." She said.

"It's just that people here are very generous and comfortable since we have access to a whole matter of luxuries and resources, and we can constantly keep getting more and more as we continuously expand, if necessary. That's basically the main reason why the currency's value is so high around here as suppose of outside Alexcia." said Mai

"It's what she actually says. We don't require/receive much money, but in return we give a lot of money away. The Great Spirits decreed that we try to hide our wealth, but not luxuries as they want to trade it away to improve relations with other towns/kingdoms." said the woman

She nodded. "I understand." She said.

"That's my big sis~" said Mai happily

"We apologize if our matter of commerce confuses you up to this point during your stay here. We get that a lot when visitors come here, though it's been very rare lately that we have been receiving them." said the woman

"There's no need to apologize." She said.

"Well in any case, you've now got your money for now, and thanks again for the extra copies of your book series. We'll have then transferred to the other bookstores, so that the sales will be more frequent as we're the only ones that were selling your books as of now. Be sure to come back here later as we get more sales of your books, including from the other bookstores as they'll transfer your sales funds over here since you started your books here. And don't worry, they'll sell the books at the price you set them to." said the woman

"I guess we're done here for now. I wonder where we should go to next before the rain starts?" asked Mai

"I don't know." She said. "What do you want to do?" She asked.

"I can't say... We already ate... I don't feel like getting something sweet..." said Mai as she then ponders for a while until "Oh! I know! I want to get some new clothes for whenever I'm not going to be on duty. I like my maid outfit a lot, but I need a bit of a change of pace from time to time. The Tailor Shop around here sells some clothes that I want to wear, so lets go there first, big sis." said Mai

"Alright." She said. She followed Mai to the Tailor Shop. "Thanks again." She said to the woman before they left.

"Be sure to come again." said the woman as they left

Mai then leads Moon across a few alleyways to make a shortcut in order to get to the tailor shop a bit more quicker. They soon arrived as they head inside to see big selections of men and women's clothing. The tailor shops are also known to be one of the more bigger shops, so there's plenty of room to display more clothes for shoppers to see. The shop itself is a giant one-room type of store.

"Hmm... I wonder what should I get? Maybe an outside skirt, or maybe a two-piece of clothing? Hmm..." said Mai, pondering on what to get

"I don't really know much about clothing so I'll just leave you to do this." She said as she sat on a bench in the shop...

"Yeah, I hear you, big sis. I think I might be here for a while, so if you want you can go to some place else while I shop for some new clothes. There is a marketplace for food and goods not too far from here." said Mai

"No. I'd rather stay here." She said.
