Che-Tze had been deep in thought when both the man and Karai approached her. The suddeness of the creation of a Psi-link between them startled her, but she quickly calmed, definitely thanks to the charismatic man's presence and words. She realized she'll be relying on his powers a lot in the times to come.
At Karai's next words, she immediately pulled a face, before letting it go. Che-Tze detested big bodies of water. Specifically if she was over it, because she disliked heights as well. Maybe not feared them, but definitely disliked them.
But she waved her personal opinions and fears off. If she was to save herself, and her newly found comrades, she had to act the role of the leader she put on herself and do what it would take to save lives.
Che-Tze's eyes flickered to Karai's shadow clone, once again, feeling rather calm even though all this was a novelty to her. Right now, with her newly found calmness, the strangeness of all of this mostly exasperated her rather than scared her.
She gave a small nod at his news, and turned to the charismatic man standing by her side.
"We'll go to the bridge, it'll give us a safe corssing to the Southern Forest. I hope you can run, and run fast." She added, looking at him quizzically. By his lean and tall built, she expected he could. But one never knew, and she didn't like being surprised.
She then turned to the floating... Being. At Karai's comment, she looked at him disapprovingly.
"That's another one of our new allies, Karai." She said. "I'm pretty sure he will not look kindly to being treated as a potential vest." She looked at the being, deciding it must be some sort of spirit - that was what it resembled the most, anyway.
"I suspect the speed with which you are floating is of no difference to you." She said, before her eyes flickered to the seemingly strongest of them all.
"I hope to see you soon, Warrior." She said formally. Her eyes flickered from one man to the second. "Both of you, stay safe."
And then, gesturing at the charismatic man and the spirit to follow, she started dashing after Karai's shadow clone towards the bridge.
Dragon legs are at least good for one thing, she mused. While walking is quite the problem, quick running comes almost painlessly.

"Yes, indeed. A vest is most... Absurd. Who would even think of a thing? I, Eltrith Ceuthr Guintessi Ixzikle Joerp Rendd The Second does not agree with such handling!.. Oh, they left... Well, it's just me and you then, good sir. Tell me, how fast are you? If you cannot run quickly, I shall need to drag you, so chop-chop! Let us go to this bridge our young leader has spoken of!" The spirit chirped enthusiastically. He was beginning to glow bright, more on the orange side it appeared too. The tail that curled around with a mind of it's own curled even more, in stranger fashions than before. And lastly, the scent of vanilla had dimmed for the time being. I wonder why? Maybe.. Maybe you'll never know until I update Eltrith's profile.
Well, he wasn't going to think questions about the floating vannila thing, that was for sure. It definitely seemed like a noble, which was good! He was good with nobles. And it was the chipperest of the whole bunch, right after Joy of course. He flashed the spirit a grin. He took off right behind the lady and her bodyguard's clone, using all the speed his body had learned the past few months. He kept up with only mild difficulty, because damn these two were fast. It was strange, he mused, running towards someone. He hadn't done that in a long while.
Ice chunks in greater magnitude dropping from his barrier wall. Unable to hear his companions footsteps nor their labored breathing, Karai knew enough distance had come between then for his to be able to cut loose a bit. Shaking his arm he got loose.
Taking a widened tai'chi stance, he began moving his arms rhythmically around in a figure 8. Seizing the ice wall within his will, Karai phase-changed ice from a solid to it's liquid state. Now controlling a small wave of water, he thrust it forward akin to a tidal wave. The pressure enough to wash away the flocking majority, this attack dis little damage to the armored berserkers, it was more to throw them off balance. Throwing both hands out finger's extended, he quickly motioned them down, the surrounding rain droplets spiking in temperature, they created a dense atmosphere of steam to cover his movements. Pointing a hand forward at the ground, a shrill arctic ice beam fleeted from his finger tips. Controlling icy wind currents with the waves of his hand, his ice formed make shift ramp themdek,s. Taking to the ramp, Karai leaped high above the steam cloud, thinking of Che-Tze and company, and whether of not they had reached their destination, Karai straightened both arms, flexing the muscles in his shoulders two ghastly jet black blades pierced through his palms. The blades brandished and fully out, they were the length of full fledge katanas. Diving into the heart of the chaos Karai had work to do before he could catch up with the others.. .

(Man, I need to actually devote some of my time to this.)
Mariz and his companion slowly trudged down the road, considering their options for the future. He paused, taking a moment to stretch, although that probably wasn't the best idea while traveling. As previously stated, Mariz looked a lot wealthier than he was, with his well made sword and beautiful cloak. After he had finished his poorly timed stretching session, Mariz continued on, occasionally muttering to himself or his companion, Pyre. Pyre was trudging along beside its master, occasionally running off the path to chase a rabbit or something. Mariz continued to think to himself about what he would do in the future, and if he would meet any interesting people. What if I have to work alone? That doesn't sound very enjoyable, he thought to himself, occasionally whispering his thoughts out loud.

(Sorry for the break you guys. I'm back on track now, so I hope you're still around!)
It wasn't long until she knew they were close to the bridge.
Not because of her eyesight, of course - her vision was rather pitiful in that aspect - but because of the sound of water. Her acute sense of hearing let her hear the tiny ripples of water before the bridge and the river itself were even noticeable, because of the darkness surrounding them.
As they neared it, she slowed down to a clumsy trot, breathing slowly to retrun to a clam heartrate.
"We're no farther than three hundred meters from the bridge by now." She informed the others. She cocked her head slightly to listen in closer, and then added, "It's not very wide... Thankfully. And pretty shallow. I suppose in that case the bridge will be more of a wide plank rather than an actual fenced bridge, especially since the people here wouldn't have enough funds to make such... Be careful upon crossing it." She told them.
She could see in her mind the memory of looking at maps of Ha'Dan, the geography of the terrain. If she was correct, they were heading mostly south, which meant beyond the bridge the beginnings of the Southern Plains would start, and beyond that, the Southern Forest that is the beginning of the Eighth Lord's grounds. Once in the Forest, they would almost certainly not be caught.

Swinging both armd down in a quick snapping motion, blood leaped from his blade onto the nearby grass. Retracting his katana, back within his arms the dual palm wounds on his hands healed as the multiple other lacerations and bruises did as well but he felt every once of the pain. Looking South Karai could see Che-Tze and company were growing ever close, so much so he believed she could lead the team the rest of the way. Having his clone fall back, The original back in the fight closed, his eyes focusing on the clones precise position. Having the Clone reach in his shinobi pouch located on its lower back, It pulled out a uniquely shaped kunai. Sensing the formula inscribed on the kunai Karai teleport directly to hjd clone location. The Clone tossing the kunai to the original it gave a dorky thumbs up before disappearing in a puff of smoke. Seeing his people ahead, he need hurry....
