*Triz was sitting by herself in a restaurant on a Saturday night. Valentines day. She sighed as she ate her food. There were couples all over the restaurant. In fact, she was the only one who was alone. Some of her white hair slowly slipped away from her long ponytail. Punshing it behind her ear, she looked around. She couldn't understand why this day was so special. It had never been special to her. Maybe while her mother and father were alive. But not anymore. For a second, she wondered what was so wrong about her. But she pushed it away. She spent way too much time on her own with her steel and hammer. She sipped her drink and continued eating. She was fine with what she had, right?*

Some magic. Few can use it, but most of the players probably won't have it. Magical characters will likely believe that they are all alone.

Distant war may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat will likely be summarized, not played out in detail.
