"If you didn't know what this expedition was about, then why'd you sign up?"Zoey asked with a bit of a chuckle. "I mean, god knows what we'll find on the planet's surface."She added.
John patches back in to the comm from the cockpit after Zero's question. "You should know this by now, man. Anyways.... I've just gotten us into orbit. I suggest once all of you are caught up, you get your equipment ready. We're about to make history. Over."
"First off all of you know it alls can shut up.Second what king of history good bad or neutral."I said spinning around in my chair eating a muffin.
She would continue reading her tablet, ignoring the idiocy in the background. She is still waiting for her coffee and meal though.
"So should we expect any type of life forms on this planet any hostiles."
John comes drifting in down the ladder, being pulled down by the light artificial gravity. He claps once, smiling as he walks over to the others. "I trust that you all know what you are doing and I want you guys to go now and get your things ready. We've been waiting a long time for this and I want everything to be perfect." As he walks back for the ladder to get back into the cockpit he calls back over his shoulder, "NASA will be expecting as much data as possible, because as you know, this could possibly be the most important event in human history." He smiles again and disappears up the ladder.
I jogged down to my room grabbing my equipment making myself ready for anything i wonderif here is going to be life forms on this planet. And we would find out after we landed. After getting my stuff i walked back to the dining room. And st down drinking an orange soda.
Soon the robot came back to the dining hall with Yuzu's meal and coffee. Zoey had gone to get her equipment before returning to the dining hall as well. "Oh, and to answer your question, I have no idea. You can't exactly see anything on the planet's surface from several lightyears away."Zoey said.
She would eat moderately slow while reading her tablet. Time isn't much of an importance to her...there are long years ahead of her. Her equipment should of been ready the day before she went to hypersleep. It's been her habit to be ready before situations. Though a check should do her well after her meal.
The PA system beeps and John's voice comes on over the speakers. "All crew to secure positions. Our vessel has been re-positioned and we will soon move into phase two. I repeat, all crew to secure positions." (By this he means move to the upper half of the ship. This will separate from the back half which will remain in orbit whilst the front half will de-orbit and go down to the planet.)
I made my way to my seat and strapped myself in.Where going to see aliens!I couldn't wait i also wondered how much we were getting paid for this job.
SAMA plodded after the others, opening the hatch that led to the ladder. Carefully, with slow and deliberate movements, she hoisted her small body up the ladder, one rung at a time. Her joints were not made for this kind of climbing, and it took her much longer than the humans to get up. She kept a watch on the main computer systems as she looked up at the one called John. "You may prepare yourself as well, if you'd like. I am capable of remotely detaching the landing pod from the ship."
Zoey clambered up shortly after SAMA, securing herself in her seat. "So, what's the plan, once we're planet side?"Zoey asked.
She would shift herself to the laboratory to check on the equipment and make sure they are in working order. She would be climbing up the ladder behind them shortly but head off to a different pathway since her location is different.
"Alright. I see we have all essential personnel into Stage B... Checking all airlocks and sealing hatch to Stage A." The hatch that the crew and bots had come through slides itself shut and hisses once it seals. "We are ready to separate and burn to de-orbit. Standing by for crew to confirm they are ready."
"Ready."Zoey said after a few moments, having strapped herself to her seat.
(I'll assume that everyone sounded off or whatever)
"We are now separating from Stage A." There is a 'clunk' heard near the hatch and the back stage slowly drifts out of sight. Soon it is out of view. "Beginning burn." The engines fire up and the crew would feel a force on them, similar to what one would feel in a car stopping suddenly. "We are now de-orbiting." comes John's voice over the speakers. Soon, flames are licking at the windows due to re-entry. The shell of the ship is glowing red and the windows are obstructed by fire. John sits at the controls, bumping in his seat, when a loud siren sounds off. A red light marked "MASTER ALERT" glows, but soon goes off, along with every other light in the cockpit and the rest of the ship. The engines sputter out and the ship is now free falling. John pulls up on the controls, swearing and sweating as the ship plummets for the planet surface. Black spots begin to appear in his vision as they break through the cloud cover and the surface is revealed. The ship rumbles and a ear splitting screeching noise is heard as the ships slides along the black rock surface.

The little robot, who was secured to the floor of the pod with a strong magnetic panel, suddenly lurched forward, tumbling out from her platform. She desperately tried to right herself, but there was nothing to cling to, no feasible up or down as they tore through the planet's atmosphere. She slammed against one wall, then the other. But with the power gone, that meant the controls and network were down as well. SAMA felt helpless, unconnected, just a hunk of metal removed from her realm. She performed a few calculations. This wasn't good. The odds of survival -- for any of them -- were slim, and they grew even slimmer as the seconds ticked by. The ship roared with friction and flame, and even with its strong exterior it was taking quite a bit of punishment. SAMA tried to say something, but the noise was too great. She was flung headfirst into the metal wall in a particularly strong bounce.
She remained conscious during the crash. Her equipment, thankfully, was fasten to certain places of the laboratory, only leaving papers scattered the ground. "This is...unexpected" she utter as she finally got to know what's going on. She tried to unfasten the locks that strapped her to the seat.
Zoey had thankfully already strapped herself into her seat, avoiding being thrown everywhere. Regardless she lurched forward and back, and swung to the right an left as the ship shook. Her seat belts nearly broke as they slammed into the ground. By now most of her tools had been thrown about.
