So, just like the title says, I'm looking for someone to help me get into D&D. I don't know much, but i do know basic classes and the general idea of how the dice rolls work.

So is there anyone out there who can help me out? I want to go from the first steps of making a character and i hope that you guys can tolerate my questions and get me to having a decent enough D&D character so that i can do some dungeon crawls with you guys

it's pretty easy to get into D&D, but it depends on what edition you're playing. i've only ever played fifth edition, so i can't say what the others are like but i've heard that fifth edition has fixed a lot of problems that people had with earlier editions. what you can do is read the player's handbook to see the races and classes available for each respective race. (i mean, you can play a halfling barbarian if you want, it's what i do, but it depends on who the GM is. different GM, different rules.) you can download a pdf of the basic rules here.

I'm not the best at it (it's been a while since I've played) but I'm pretty familiar with 3.0/3.5 based stuff and have glanced over the 5th edition. It's a lot of fun, and much of my role-playing experience with friends has been built off its solid core.
