"Hm... I'll definitely ask her later... Do you have any items from the past? Like back in the 2000's I think they're called?"
"Accessing archives."
Chidori's datapad chimes.
"I've sent your pad three games. One in which you are defending a place called America from missiles, another in which you are saving some lady in a pink dress from a big angry ape, and another in which you must collect treasures from a forest."

"Huh, cool! I think the one game about the lady in the pink dress reminds me of something... But I can't remember what..."
"These are precious relics of ancient history. I trust you will take very good care of them."
"Mhm, definitely! You see, I actually own these things called, "books", which I haven't really seen any besides the three that I own, which I find pretty cool."
"Books. Item not found. Please define."
Joker looks inquisitive.
Joker looks inquisitive.
"Well, books are like computer files, except, they're written on sheets made from trees called paper!"
"Define trees. Define paper."
Joker sits on the edge of the table.

Irvin checks out the various pieces of equipment before flipping the second switch.
(There is currently no suit.)
Once the switch is flipped, air blasts Irvin.
"What color suit would you like?"

"Trees? Oh, trees were these big things of wood! Some say they were as tall as some of the towers in the main ports! They had these green little sheets of slippery green called leaves! They also say that these leaves would change with a period of time called a season! A season is where the weather and temperature of an area change just in case you didn't know. Anyway, paper is like... Hm... It's a white sheet that people used to draw and write on, it was a means of getting information and ideas from one person to the next."
(Oops, fixed the post)
"Hm... Can you just do white?" Irvin replies to the AI.

"White is possible. Please follow instructions on datapad to find and design you room."
Joker pays rapt attention to Chidori.
Joker pays rapt attention to Chidori.
"They say with a certain season, I think it's called Winter, came snow... It was beautiful yet deadly... It was a pure white and under light, it glittered like a million tiny crystals... Then there was Spring, where things called plants grew... A variation of plants were known as flowers, and flowers grew in many a color... Like reds, blues, greens, purples, oranges, yellows, violets, whites, and many more... Then there was Summer... Summer was very hot but was said to be the most beatiful season... Where crops, which were plants that were grown to sell things like potatoes and carrots, flourished and grew... Then there was Autumn or Fall, it has two names which I find kinda funny... This was when all of the leaves on trees changed color and fell, decorting the ground in many warm colors which looked amazing..."
"Information matches old legend of pre-space life."
Joker looks confused.
"I must correlate this data."
Joker looks confused.
"I must correlate this data."
"Hm... People say that space exploration was a thing when these things were around... They say they started out in shuttles... Which looked like earlier models of the Jokalo or even the cargo ships that the poor use back at home..." Chi smiled thoughtfully, her eyes wandering about the Mess Hall once more.
Genevieve nodded slowly. She knew the seasons, but only because she couldn't ever stay in one place for too long. A month on this planet, a few years on this one. She fondly remembered the snow of Brillon, the drifts that rose for hundreds of feet, the ice caves and the oceans that were perpetually frozen. It never rose above negative ten degrees. She chuckled, then covered it as a cough, embarrassed.
"Where're you from, Chi?" she asked. "Paper's practically unheard of."
"Where're you from, Chi?" she asked. "Paper's practically unheard of."
"... Oh god, oh god, oh god, Genevieve, Jack, help, I think I killed Joker!" Chidori then faceplanted into the table and hid her head under her arms. "Oh god, I am sooo fired."
"Oh, where do I come from? I come from a colony known as New Canadia, apparently its where people who wanted to stay with the old earth ways went after the beginning of the Spacial Frontier... I miss it dearly I dare say, yet I'm excited that I can travel around a bit."
