Hear me out, because this is something I've been toiling in my head at work and want to know the level of interest I'd get from it and how many would or could join depending on the mechanics.
I'm thinking of making a world revolving around the universe of GunZ. Some of you may know of it, some may not, but quite frankly it was one hell of a game that required some serious keyboard Kung-Fu to be able to be good at it. Anyway, moving forward.
Let me just say that I plan to make this a Group since there will be certain features in the RP that may give or take away some of its flare depending on your preference.
The group will be Faction based, or rather, Clan based. If you want to join in and make your own Clan that's fine. I don't quite plan to limit the numbers of Clans that can be made since there may be some of you who start one up and it may play to your plot to either get assimilated or just dominate the larger group(s). That being said; Yes, there will be Combat, however I'm still on the toss up of whether it should be Dice Roll based or Logic based. Some old RP-fighters may be familiar with the style known as T-1 or whatever, but for fairness I'm thinking letting the Dice be the determining factor of Dodges/Counters/Attacks.
I think it should be known that the Realm system will allow for infinite lives. So if someone kills your character your character will respawn on your next post at the Avatar.[Explained in plot]
I plan to create a No-Kill zone which will be labelled where people can just RP with their characters in the city and build their own plots with one another. That being said I also intend for there to be territories that players can own and be the King-Pin in.
There WILL be a main evolving plot, completely separate from player individual plots that people can come and go as they please.
Currency will have to be a thing as it is in the game, but instead of ZENNY I may use a SOUL Currency that can be kept track of in your profiles. Currency can be earned through quests as well and not just by killing other RPers.
Weapons are limited to the game standard categories---
Melee Ranged
-Sword -Pistols
-Dagger -Sub-Machine Gun
-Kodachi -Assault Rifle
-Spear -Shotgun
I have been fiddling with the idea of there being different 'types' of weapons that can be earned at a shop such as Infernal/Angelus/Ether which will grant different boosts/perks of the broken down type. Really, buying either one of the three won't grant anything more than an Aesthetic glow to the weapon, however if you purchased 'Infernal - Speed' that would grant you +4 on your Dodge rolls which is no different than buying an 'Angelus - Speed' or 'Ether - Speed' (This is for balancing reasons)
There will be a player stat system also, to decide little bonuses to your rolls. Like adding 5 pts to your Dodge will give you +5 Modifiers to the dodge, or having +7 to your accuracy will obviously to what its suppose to do.
As known with the game, players can Dash and Air Dash, Climb Walls or Wall Run. Yes, you can do these things, just know that the Dashes will be static[the same] for each person and is available by a player tapping into an energy canon named The Source which will propel the person in any direction the person chooses at 20MPH[This may change but a weapon perk will definitely be able to increase this number) Just a quick note, this does not mean you can fly as the character will still gradually lose altitude. The Source does not promote 'Fall Damage' so feel free to leap off the buildings, but use common sense when detailing. i.e: Don't jump from said building to land on your head and expect to live.

Really, I would just need 1 other person to run this efficiently and this post is just to test the waters with an interest level. The above is just a summary, since its just about 6:00am my time and I think the left and part of the right side of my brain shut down.
But the RPers really don't have to handle all the complicated stuff since everything will be clearly labelled. It's not going to be so spread out that person x person interactions will be limited. Just RP, roll a dice when in combat for the appropriate action. So.. yeah. Interests? And, well. If this can be done via basic group RP then i'll just trash the skeleton and do it that way, taking away some stuff of course.
