Eleak Carter (played by WonderGamer101)

"Hmm... Isn't it even more dangerous for a child to be on this journey?" El would ask, a tad bit worried for her.

(Hey guys, heads up, this is how nearly all non randomized checks will be in terms of formatting, it'll give you the time of day, and will give you a nearby event going on and/or ask you to make an ability check.)
9:30PM, Near the castle.

Outside the inner wall, the three people spoke on the streets outside a tavern had a view of a great beacon of light coming from the castle itself. Any in wondering of what it was would have looked closely at it, attempting to determine from knowledge what it was.

KNOWLEDGE ARCANA SKILL CHECK: D20 roll with added modifier according to character
Modifiers:
Eleak: +2
Naomi: +0
Maria: +1

Must beat 10 for successful check. Players who make a successful check will know that the beacon is residual light from the transfer of a message spell, and players who beat 15 will know that the message must have been important as it was a costly spell to have a magic user cast for you, as it was well known that no one in the royal court was a magic user.

rolled 1d20 and got a natural 9. After the modifier of +2, got 11
I got this!!

She didn't exactly mind Eleak questioning Naomi, honestly rather distracted with the present situation of a bright light that lit up from the castle in the distance, trying her hardest to recognize what it could have been as she tugged on Naomi's sleeve once more, hoping to divert her attention to it.

rolled 1d20 and got a natural 13. After the modifier of +1, got 14
Crossing my fingers that my magic user understands it

"Well, yes I suppose you are right.. but surely bringing her at least to the castle grounds is safer than here. They could track down her par- hm?" Naomi paused mid sentance because of the rather insistant tug from behind her. "What is it, child?" At the shorter girl's quick gestures, she glanced up at the bright light, squinting to try and see it clearly, but it was rather hard to miss. "What in the world...?"

rolled 1d20 and got a natural 17. After the modifier of +1, got 18

((Sorry, it did the modifier without me adding one. Please ignore, it's just 17.))

Eleak would quickly glance at the beam of light emitting from the castle. "A message! I can't decipher it, but I know it has to be one. Does anyone know what it means?"
"I- ..I've seen this before, it's a message spell, it must be too important to wait for it to arrive by hand." Naomi murmured, reaching down to Maria in an attempt to pick her up and place her on the saddle of her horse. If she did, she'd have climbed on behind her and gently wrapped her arms around the smaller girl's waist to grab the reigns in front of her, too afraid the girl could fall off to put her in back. "We need to hurry, there could be something wrong at the kingdom. They don't even have a magic user in the court! Do you have a steed to carry you? Three people may be too much for mine to handle."
She kicked at Naomi the moment she picked her up, rather fumed she did so without warning, especially because she could have climbed onto the horse herself easily. Of course, she probably mistook her just for being fussy, because it didn't stop her from placing her up on the saddle and climbing on behind her. Oh yes, she'd definitly be putting a rat in her side pouch by morning out of revenge, but Naomi was right. That would need to wait until they arrived. Staring down at the man with her intense light blue eyes, she waiting for an answer, though it would be funny to watch him run to keep up with them. That is, if Naomi isn't dumb enough to actually put another person on the horse; though from how she acted, it seemed as though she were considering it.

"No, but I will catch up to you. Now go!" Eleak urged Naomi as he dashed towards the direction where the message was from.

And maybe your DM will be more coordinated with his clicking by then.

Eleak Carter (played by WonderGamer101)

"Sir, we do not have the time for this. Let us be." Eleak ordered, clenching his fist once more in case any of those drunks would attack.

The drunk turned around as if to leave, but only yelled to the other two. "Boy's afraid o'fallin again!" Came his voice followed by roaring laughter. His position of being turned around would give El a +6 modifier (+3 surprise attack, +3 strength) to any D20 roll made to hit, his modifier for damage still being a +3 (strength) to a D6 roll.
Her horse grunted in protest, stopping his front hooves as the men approached them. "S'cuse us lads, but we must be on our way," Naomi tried to reason, moving to turn her horse toward them with a serious look, wrapping the reins around her hand a bit tighter. "I do wish we could stay and chat," she smiled, reaching down to grip Eleak's shirt collar with a warning tug,"but I do believe it would be much more exciting to hear of him falling down in front of a royal, than to only be able to see him trip over himself in the street, correct?" It wasn't meant to be insulting, just trying to humor the drinks so they may be able to possibly leave.
Maria seemed unfazed, still rather irritated about being picked up earlier, but none the less, she'd recognized these men almost instantly. Hell, one of them, she frequently made wagers against. Tucking herself back more, she was hoping one of them couldn't tell who she was, after all they'd been drunk. Her eyes remained fixed on the back of the man's head, willing to make her move to get rid of them if necessary.
Since it didn't appear that Eleak had been planning on backing down from the tension in his body, she quickly realized that they'd need to get out of this situation fast before he gets himself hurt. Gripping his shirt collar tighter, Naomi smiled innocently to the drunks, "Lovely to meet you all, but we must get going." Her ears flattened a bit, looking down at the man sympathetically, "Sorry about this, lad." With a sharp whip of her reins against the horse, it bucked in protest and tried to take off, all while she still held onto his shirt and possibly dragged him behind them if she were able to hold on tight enough.

rolled 1d20 and got a natural 2. After the modifier of +6, got 8
15 or above to have dragged him and hopefully not get ourselves killed on the first night of the adventure

She had to admit, Naomi did have a certain admirable trait in her for trying to help him, though she'd have left him behind the moment those drunks walked out. She couldn't leave any loose ends that could leave her found out in some way by sticking around longer, so thankfully she'd nodded sharply in agreeance with Naomi, but she didn't exactly expect her to act that quickly. Not to mention for the fact that she'd never ridden a horse before, Maria flinched in surprise when it bucked in protest, and she tried to grab for the closest thing to her. This just so happened to be the shirt collar of Eleak's that Naomi had tugged on. With any luck, and some accidental magic, she might have had a better grip on him, because Naomi's grip had already fallen away and went back to gripping the reins to control her stallion.

rolled 1d20 and got a natural 11. After the modifier of +2, got 13
Same as last time, anything over 15

Eleak Carter (played by WonderGamer101)

(Sorry to make you wait...! I was working...)

El stood strong, even with the two ladies tugging his shirt collar. He didn't care if he were to be in the face of another fight, but he would not be humiliated once again.

He broke out into a fighting stance. He focused onto one area of the cobblestone streets, his marks on his arms glowing brown. With any luck, he should be able to control it into creating a pillar that would damage the drunk. Eleak raised and motioned his hands rise and hit the drunkard in the throat at full force.

rolled 1d20 and got a natural 14. After the modifier of +6, got 20

rolled 1d6 and got a natural 4. After the modifier of +3, got 7
