The sound of shoes hitting and sliding across the floor could be heard in the strangely vacant mall. Ghost had lost all sense of quiet as she slapped her runners across the tiles. In her arms she held two huge bags, full of bottles of water and various other packages.
Nothing seemed to be coming behind her, but her eyes were wild. She had been gone for almost two hours. She had started in the ceiling - the tile was still open in the West 49 store they had all gotten stuck in. Ghost was the only one alive with a key, but she had given it up to those still in the store when she went on her mission.
She knew vaguely where the Shopper's Drug Mart was, and thought she could find away in and back into the ceiling.
She was lucky she was fast. Most of the store had been looted already and there were a number of zombies. Her only weapon on hand was a small pipe bomb, but she had been unwilling to use it until she absolutely had to.
She began to rattle the cage door of the store, "Guys, lemme in. Lemme in. I'm getting antsy out here. I've only got one bomb, and it's too close to the store to throw it. Lemme in. Lemme in." She spoke almost violently fast, her words crashing into each other as she spoke, her eyes wide with fear.
Sweat was dripping down her face, into her eyes. One of her elastics had fallen loose.

The screech is what alerted her to the fast zombie behind her. She was still rattling on the cage door as it landed twenty feet away from her. She turned to face it, her features melting into calm composure. She crossed her arms, reaching for the pipe bomb. She didn't want to throw it yet, but knew she might have to as she dropped the bottles of water and the bag of food.
"Shoot it!"
"Shoot it!"

The hunter's head blew up almost, and the rest of the body flew back wards. Kin-Ring, then dragged the bags inside and closed the cage again. Turning to her, "What took you so long?"
Watching as a hunters head explodes, Jason cant help but stare. Jason asks with concern "Are you ok?". He looks over to the other man standing with them "Whats wrong with you man? That damn thing coulda got her and youre worried about how long it took her?!"
(i dunno if i was supposed to roll, but i did it just in case)

Kin just shrugged and broke his gun, taking out the dead shell, and then taking another one from his pocket and placing it into the gun. "Relax will ya? She's fine isn't she?" He said to Jason, then turn his head to Ghost, "Sorry about that." he said, then putting the gun together again
Ghost began to laugh, somewhat hysterically, "I couldn't get back into the ceiling. I couldn't reach with the food and stuff, plus dodging zombies. Thank good you acted fast, Ring!" She pointed at bags, "I couldn't find much that's good. A few bags of cheezies, candy. More Jerky. Things are drying up in here. I started pulling tiles off to see if I could see other survivors and there is no one. It's a wasteland in here."
She turned her gaze from Kin to Jason, "I'm fine. A real lucky ducky as my mom would say!"

"See nothing to worry about." Kin-Ring said, putting the shotgun in it's hosteler on his right leg, then picked up his axe. "So then, what do we do now?" Kin-Ring asked, resting the axe on his right shoulder
'Lucky ducky?' Jason thinks to himself. "Well, if thats the case, we may need to think about moving out." He looks at both of them "Unless we all decide that this is a nice enough tomb for us." Jason says, almost sarcasticly, but with an all to real sense of truth to it.
(Should we come up with a posting order? The logical flow would be Ghost, Kin, then me.)

Kin shrugged, "Whatever you guys wanna do, I'm okay with...follower not a leader..." He said, looking around a bit, seeing what he said was true
"Does anyone have a map? Canada is about as foreign to me as Japan." He starts looking around to see if he could find one. "And another thing, dont you think it would be a good idea to give each other our names? What with it being the end of the world and all, we could go nuts without having some sense of normalcy" Running through his mind in broadway lights is him worrying about his wife and daughter. 'Focus, if you lose youre head, you lose your life. Then, theres no chance of getting back to them, alive that is." He thinks to himself.

(Theres another one who isn't here just yet, but what ever)
Athina had been in the back, making notes of their meager supplies since keeping her pen moving kept her from thinking too much about the situation. The gunshot made her look up and she frowned, hoping the others had it covered. If the zombies got in, any of them would be better at fighting them off than her. Still, she didn't want them to think she was useless.
Taking her pistol in hand and hoping she hadn't spend too much time thinking about it, she headed over to the group by the cage door. "Everyone alright?"

It was at that moment that a faint sobbing could be heard from outside the West 49. It was a genuinely sad and loud sound of depression and gloom but there was a strange quality to it that sent shivers down the spines of the humans who heard it.

Ghost nodded, "Yeah, I think we're all ri-" She cut herself off as she heard the crying. She turned her attention outside the safety guard, "What is that?" She moved closer to the gate, giving it a little rattle without meaning to.
(ST has determined that a D100 roll - 1-50 Ghost will exit going after something she wants. 51-100, Witch comes to investigate the sound. Wish me luck. She is coming, but the gate it STILL CLOSED.)

"No one move or say a word." Kin-Ring hissed at them all. "Ghost...get away from that cage door..." He whispered to her, bringing his axe down so now he held the axe with both hands, and slowly, shuffled back, trying not to make a noise
Jason readies his crossbow, pointing it at the cage. Jason breathes quietly. Ready to shoot at a moments notice, he just prays that all his time prepping for this paied off. "Athina, youve got a gun, get up here." Jason breathes.
Athina hesitantly stepped forward, the urge from Jason making the brief thought of just finding a place to hide vanish. Raising her pistol, she tried to imagine she was just on the shooting range, that whatever was coming was just like another paper target. One that could tear her to shreds if she missed. Great motivator, that.
Ghost stepped back slowly. This time her feet barely seemed to touch the floor, leaving only a whisper of her footsteps as she moved back into Kin and Jason. The pipe-bomb in her hand felt heavy. She reached for her other favoured weapon - a steal baseball bat. She popped the pipe-bomb into her waste band and looked for her back-pack. In the case of a hasty retreat she wanted to be able to grab it.
