I was making dinner.
He kissed her then walked downstairs.
I was still cooking.
"Hey mom." He said.
"Hey. How's Faye?"
"She's sleep right now."
"That's good. Thank you for helping."
He nodded. "Tell her to just call me if she needs anything."
I nodded. "Alright."
He waved and left.
I waved and continued cooking.
"Well, looks like he helped her calm down." I said.
"Yep."
"I guess we're calling him when she gets sad."
"I guess so."
I leaned my head back. "Well, this has been an eventful day."
I nodded. "Yep.."
"What you cooking?"
"Fried chicken and mashed potatoes."
"Great, wake me when it's done."
