(There are quite a few more player slots open. PM me if you'd like to join)
Setting: A fictional metropolis called Sea Isle City, located on a large island slighty off-shore of California.
Time period: 1980's
Play style: Players will take roles as members or managers of different corporations, all vying for resources to boost their company, anything from discs containing secret intelligence to straight up cold hard cash. These companies and their employees will take any route possible to gain these resources. (I will act as a GM for these resources and their locations and such)
Expect plenty of combat, but we may also implement strategy (e.g. sending/hiring mercenary forces, managing finances, watching stocks, etc. etc.)
Ideally, there are 3-4 players per company, one of which acts as a manager, who gives orders, manages wages, and any of the things listed in the strategy bit above. The rest perform actions like picking up cash for deals, executing trades, sabotaging rivals, attacking rival supply routes, robbery, etc.
The Corporations
Markson Industries (Taken; DrWinner)
Aeon Inc. (Taken; katparker)
Psytek (Open; I will be controlling this company until another player claims it.)
Players may also join as employees.
Starting plot
The manager of each company receives a call from an individual calling themselves "The Benefactor". The person delivers information regarding a special limousine that is carrying a disk containing information that would be beneficial to their subsidiaries, and result in a 5% stock value increase. For this job, no negotiation can be used, brute force is the only way to acquire the disk.
"You have 2 hours before the opportunity is gone..." The other end of the line hangs up at the same time for every manager. The clock is ticking...

Placing her office phone back on the hook, Alexis then picks it back up and dials a number. The number picks up after a single ring, the other end picks up and is answered with silence. Clearing her throat Alexis says in a curt tone before hanging back up "It's 'Stella'. High stake asset recovery, usual fee. Data-disk inside a limo, possibly armored and armed. Collateral is approved. Meet me at the usual place. Two hour time limit starting Now. Get going."
With her initial orders given Alexis rolls her wheelchair closer to her office chair, changing seats with some difficulty before leaving out of her office. It had been several months since her injury, changing between chairs was still proving difficult. It would have to do, it was time for doing real work again.

James laid on a crate in an old warehouse mentally celebrating a new job. He had recently applied for a position in ts company, Psytech, but really had known nothing about it at the time. By now he was really just happy to have the job and was even more exstatic at the amount of work he'd had to do so far, which is to say none at all. He was told to wait for some kind of instruction on what to do when the time comes.
What DID concern James were the job qualifications. A lot of physical feats were to be met in order to get this job. A job at a corporation. A job he assumed was going to be an office job. A job he was now even happier to have realizing that is WASN'T an office job. But it was starting to get boring. He hoped to get a call soon for whatever his real job was supposed to be.

Not too soon after James has this sentiment, his cell phone begins to ring, breaking the silence. (When I say cell phone, I mean one of these) The number scrolls across the small screen. It is the number he'd called previously when applying for the job, the number of the Psytek CEO.
