Hi there, I'm Delirium!
So a little while back, I created this character, Nora Hayes, for a specific 1x1 plot when all of a sudden my partner up and disappeared. I'm not sure what happened and without any way to contact him I will never know. So, here I am looking for someone who would like to do an original sci-fi(ish) plot with the world that Nora's character is centered around.
Her background is in her bio, but as for a background of the world itself, well, here's a short explaination.

It is years in the future after a nuclear holocaust devastated the earth and the human society as we know it. Now, after rebuilding the world and society, humanity has come to require a deep dependence on machinery. With this new dependence comes the rise of augments, humans who have replaced a part of their body with chemical clockwork machinery. This technology works and runs to replicate the human body, however it it much longer lasting and therefore is desired to keep death at bay. Those who have made these alterations, called augments, require a chemical concoction known simply as Chemicals in order to keep the clockwork running.
However, augments are only available to the rich and so the poor remain human, scraping by each day by selling scraps from the ruins of the Old World or working in the augment factories. As the years pass with the augments rising above the remaining humans tensions build. The rich augments become the ones in power, governing the New World cities and an extremist ideal begins to permeate the ranks of the elite. Humanity is flawed and weak, augmentation is the only way to save it, the next step in evolution. Either become an augment, or be left to die.
The humans detested the clockwork machinery and word in the slums is that there is a rebellion forming, aiming to overthrow the extremist government.
This is where our story begins, on the brink of War.

And there you have it! That's currently the plot I'm aiming for with Nora's character. For those still interested, there are multiple ways that your character could come into play, and I'm open to all ideas, so please don't hesitate to PM me!
As some basic rules regarding my writing and my partners:

I write in paragraph form.

I prefer for my partners to be fairly literate, so that means a fairly deep understanding of the workings of the English language. But I understand there are occasional mistakes, I make them all too often myself.

I want a dynamic plot. Something that can develop and change! That's what makes writing interesting!

I normally reply at least once a day, if not more.

I think this character's backstory fits relatively well in the 'War resulting in microbiological/chemical advancements' plot. I'm not sure how many years after the war the clockwork implements get introduced, but if it's less than a decade, then this guy can fit canonically into the story. If not, I can make the loss of his arm a plot point. He probably wouldn't be wealthy enough to become an augment, so theft is a possibility.

This is such a great idea, I love it. I have two different characters I could possibly use in this: James and Alvares. If you think either would fit better with the plot let me know. If not I'd be happy to choose myself.
