Here's some games to look out for, nerds. PC and Mobile only.
Superhot - PC
Ever wanted to be Neo from The Matrix? Make it happen. Enemies are quick, there are way more of them than there are of you, and they're most certainly not inaccurate with their gunfire. The caveat? You only take one hit to die. Dodge gunfire, take dudes out, snatch guns out of midair and feel phenomenal doing it.
BeamNG.drive - PC
Perplexing name, but one of the best physics simulators for cars ever made. Not that I care about racing in this game because all I do is run into trees at 100 mph and gawk at the incredibly accurate damage and collision graphics. Load up semi truck, drive off a cliff, enjoy the carnage.
Rebel Galaxy - PC
If you liked Black Flag's pirate ship combat, but wish you could do that in space, this is the game for you. Truly one of the most satisfying, challenging, and beautiful space games ever made, with combat being entirely based on broadside lasercannon fire. If you're feeling the space itch and nothing's scratching it lately, pick up this title.
InflationRPG - Mobile
Automated combat, five stats to increase, run around to fight stuff. This game is deceptive in that it seems like just a gimmicky take on the RPG genre. What this game hides is a surprising amount of complexity and depth as the player tries to figure out how high he can get his level in only 30 fights. Take the time to figure out where the strategy's at, and you won't be disappointed.
Golfinity/Desert Golf - Mobile
This is technically two games, but their premise is nearly identical. You have an infinitely long string of golf holes to shoot on, with each hole created through procedural generation. Master the physics and try to keep your score in the negatives.
Doom and Destiny - Mobile
Despite some grammatical issues and a few groan-worthy puns, this is a throwback to classic RPGs. Think SNES era. Four friends try to meet their DM for a DnD session, only to find that somehow they've found themselves inside a fantasy world! Genuinely funny moments and simple combat make this a fun romp for cheap. Expect 15 hours of play, roughly.
