Frostbite
(For the record, I apologize in advance for any unnecessary puns, bad jokes or Thriller gifs.)
What is Frostbite?
Frostbite is a roleplay set in the beginning of the 21st Century, when a dangerous drifter is preparing to smite the world with the rise of the living dead. You know, the usual stuff. What's less usual is that this particular necromancer is having some amount of trouble with logistics. Not only is he attempting to find a way to curse the Earth so that any of the living who falls rises again, independently of when or where they die, this creature is also attempting to do it in such a manner that they are not directly under his control. And what's even more time consuming for the necromancer - and worrying for the Earth - is that the lich is creating safeguards against any of those pesky little issues that would make an actual zombie apocalypose, well, impossible. He is experimenting, trying, testing out new possibilities and perfecting his undead - making them conveniently resistent to the heat of summer and the cold of winter. And as for the Earth's millitary forces...
It's 2002. A series of scandals and problems has hit the planet, with the growing clashes slowly leading to progressively tenser relations even among Earth's supposedly more diplomatic countries. Bombings in strategic places, assassinations of important polititians, the failure of economically important companies - a crisis is happening on a global escale, and the lich's only to blame for half of it. And while the people of the earth squabble between themselves, Jack continues his work and experiments, creating chaos and destruction to make way for the undead. And cold winds are blowing...
But some have taken notice and have taken up arms. A sinister cult known as the Church of the Starry Sky is extending its influence, sending its missionaries and mad prophets to the four corners of the Earth to warn people of the coming apocalypse. Some others have become aware of the trail of supernatural anomalies that crop up wherever the Huntsman passes through, and have begun their own investigation of just what the hell is happening.
You are one of those people.

What type of characters are we looking for?
All sorts! While I'd like a reasonable decent chunk of the group's future zombie slayers to be human or relatively powerless, there's a lot of possibilities we can go from! Other supernatural creatures would be more likely to notice the crescendo of weirdness that Jack is causing, after all, or perhaps Jack could try to recruit other mad scientists to his cause, or perhaps the Church of the Starry Sky could begin to take like minded ... individuals into its fold.
What type of roleplayers are we looking for?
Ones who like long walks on the beach - er, nevermind, wrong thread. We'd mostly be looking for folks capable of writing a couple of paragraphs, really? Nothing wrong with a one liner here and there, but we're looking for some amount of effort to be put into this thing. While there will obviously be dark themes and some amount of violence, considering it's an apocalypse involving zombies, anything sexual will be fade to black.
And that's it!
The group itself is still kind of prone to getting massive edits here and then, but apart from that it's done. The roleplay itself will start out as pre apocalyptic, and then possibly become post apocalyptic when things take a turn for the worst.
I'll be using a bunch of characters in each part of the roleplay, and Gamers is gonna to be your friendly neighbourhood moderator.

Magic is rare, but not unheard of. Mundane characters may or may not believe in it. Magical characters may form small and exclusive pockets for study, protection, etc.

Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.

I've talked to Loren about some of what's to be expected. I've seen a lot of apocalyptic RPs on here before, but nothing quite like this. I, for one, am very excited for the premier of this RP!
Mind if I have a little walk along this beach? While the Shadows wouldn't really be affected by the apocalypse, they happen to like humanity. (Cause you said other supernatural beings might take notice.)

@AshAngg2000 - I'm not sure if Archer would be the right character for the roleplay at this phase, to be honest. I mean, a ninja bowman who controls shadows would probably stick out like a sore thumb amongst other possible investigators, and him not being affected by the apocalypse would lower the stakes.
@Reima: Maybe Sergei or Toffi? Jack is trying to derail all sorts of military organizations around the world, after all, and there could be interesting plotlines with him causing chaos and conflict in the ranks and the more military-minded characters trying to figure out what's going on.

I could always use them both, as they do work in a way as a team

I usually just modify Nova to my needs and I'm thinking he could be like a alchemist who wishes to join jack in the further pursuit of knowledge and loot and other such goodies
Also I don't have a character description on my page so don't bother looking but he's a human with some slight body enhancements nothing to crazy just some extra strength and durability and such

Yeah but usually I don't base off that i just make a version of him for each specific role play I do so you usually won't get the same Nova every time so I don't bother wrighting any thing on his character page
Could you still at least provide a link to the character page you have at the moment? So that we can get at least some kind of an idea? A personality or how he looks details on that page you're linking at least?

I must admit, I'm fairly interested in this, although I'm thinking of using my character Yorick. Being an undead made out of magic could be useful, and seeing as it's a necromancer making the zombie apocalypse, it wouldn't be entirely unfitting.
