So what's the battle plan, doc?

As far as what needs to be done to free them, I was thinking something like "there always has to be something living in it" so they would just need to find another living thing and put it in for the zodiac to get out?

That sounds a bit...How do I put it? I don't know, but that just doesn't fit right with me. I mean if it was that easy wouldn't the zodiacs have done it eventually one way or another?

Do zodiacs have opposites, or something that defeats the easily? Like in Pokémon with the type advantages.

We'll have to find someone to play the guardians though.

We can have people play multiple characters. And the guardians can be like a shadow zodiac. All zodiacs have other zodiacs they mesh well with, and others they don't mesh so well. So it could be like a shadow form of a zodiac they don't work well with. For example, Scorpio's nemesis is Gemini supposedly, since they clash frequently.

That sounds plausible. Could do vessels as well, an object they are bound to in order to traverse the mortal realm, a final safety measure of the god(s) in that they can not be far from it or begin to suffer/ die off/weaken.
