Poe Tregoran is a regular mechanic. She works on anything from robots, to airships and more. Her trusty sidekick SteampTrap is always around to lend a paw, too. Poe's skills are coveted for any major project, which means that there is a lot of potential for her to get into trouble. Does she get whisked away by some space pirates, forced to make repairs for their ship? Does a rich nobility try to bribe her into doing some underground work? Whatever the case may be, Poe might just find herself with some real flesh-and-blood friends. Or, perhaps, a love.
Notes: Third-person POV, please. Minimum 1 paragraph post preferred. Male characters also preferred for a potential blooming romance. Open to many ideas within this scenario. Please read Poe's 'Always/Never' chart. Note that this is not a strict steampunk setting, so there's plenty of room for other tech and alien options.

Magic is very common. Magic-tech, grand floating islands, forests that sing, magical creatures may be an every-day occurrence.
