@Dragonfire. Ouch. I found a guardian (The Humane seal) which SeraphicStar figured out must have fittet the "newest of the news" clue, but this hint could also match it. So now we have a guardian that matched two hints

@Bonebag - I'm not sure I understand the question? The plot is advanced by solving all the seals on each guardian.

@Sanne - Medicinal plants. They are randomly (but commonly) given as a reward for planting seeds in any section of the forest.
