@Sanne: I noticed that last night, that there's definitely a memory leak of some sort, that after a few rounds, it starts to bog down and run poorly. Restarting the game entirely solves it.

ooh, i thought the lag was possibly due to the ice beetles and my terrible laptop. i'll have to see if restarting solves it!

So beetles can be killed by running at them with a weapon in front of you, apparently

Apparently gelatinous cubes do not like balls. Bounce one into them and they are gone

Yeah. You can even kill them with vases, if the vases don't break first. Pretty much anything that moves other than Doubutt will do damage to monsters that take damage.

Cubes eat any object they come in contact with. Balls, vases, food, weapons, seeds.
