Mine saves as a zip file then when you try to unpack it, its all individual pages instead of an actual game.

Seed count on the fantasy tree was around 547 last time I knew, give or take 15

Only kudzu eats seeds. Fantasy guardian is safe in a cloud of however many monsters, they can't hurt him. Just Kudzu!

I just re-downloaded and it works okay, even with the recent update. My immediate question is, if you right-click the icon and choose "open with..." after download, is the top thing Java or is the top thing WinRAR (or winzip or whatever zip program you have)
