Different monsters also have differing crit thresholds of their own.

Rapiers are 18.

I see. I rolled a nat19 with a rapier and did not CRIT.

ray guns are 19 as are grenades I believe.

and axes are 20.

With the attack and poison modifier, I got a 20 total.

I may be wrong on rapiers though lemme check.

I know the crit ranges, but what I mean is I was supposedly within the critical range of the monster but didn't crit, unless the spider queen is nat20s only

@LightSide-Lotus They're D&D/tabletop based. A "nat 20" means a natural 20, as in, that's what showed on the face of the die, before any bonuses or penalties were added.

You should have crit with the rapier.

I've never done D&D before...

Grenades are the only ones I don't actively know.

A nat 19 should have critted! I'll look into this too. I'm not sure what could have broken that, I didn't really touch the weapons from last year.

I, unfortunately, did not take a screen shot but the dice roll was 19+3-2=20
