I got really lucky with crits earlier. Too bad it was with a rapier. Oh Well, I'll deal.
It's easier to crit with a rapier! 
Of the main weapons the ease of critting goes in this order. rapier>ray gun>axe.
but damage goes ray gun>axe>rapier.
Oh Lorv, you know your stuff. 
the multipliers also go the same as the damage in the greater than scheme.
rapiers have a *2 axes have a *3 ray guns have a *4.
That's why everyone adores a ray gun.
raygun calls from sky. "Vermillion you are a life saver!"
gets crushed by thorax and retreats.

I prefer the Axe personally.
Why's that?
Because axes are amazing.
Higher durability.
Ray guns and Rapiers have lower durability than Axes.
Axes clock in at a nice 50 uses and have a good damage potential.
They sit well in the middle ground.
