Hah, it was just perserverence. Puzzles like these get to my brain, so I dig and dig and dig until I find something that works.

In other news, just got crit for max damage, poisoned, and blighted all in one turn. Ow.

One year the vampire related seal we did was VTM related and me and another member just kept poking at Goratrix and things related to him.

What's VTM?

V:TM or Vampire: The Masquerade.

I don't even know that! No wonder I couldn't guess it.

The trouble with straight forward GoT riddles is that it's SO popular right now, the moment it was determined the crown seal was GoT related, the names of almost every major and minor character, god, monster, power and house were just entered into the seal way before we'd even unlocked all the clues. Gotta resist the wikipedia-spray phenomenon!

The problem was it wanted a specific name for things and we either weren't spelling it right or weren't giving the right name.

The problem with difficult Game of Thrones riddles is that there is so much goddamn information in canon. My husband was helping me, at one point, back when we figured it was maybe about a person - he actually reads the series - and was flipping through one of the big indexes in the backs of one of the books, and he was like "It's all sons of and sons of all the way down for hundreds of years, and this is just in an index - how are you ever going to find something related to those clues?"

And he's right. GRRM is nothing if not a stickler for details.

That's why I like remembering weapon stats.
