Smacking it with something is better than nothing
for now until we can get ray guns we're best to take out red spiders with axes/rapiers and hope for ray gun drops or grenade drops.
Bone: 5 plants will arrive in the armory in a few moments
Not really with it's health hitting it with an axe won't kill it.
You'd need 20 people hitting it to kill it with an axe.
