Arien hesitated when she asked and shook his head. "It doesn't matter," he said, "because it was just a dream." He leaned forward to kiss her. "Trust me." He didn't scare easily--or at least, he liked to think he didn't. That he'd woken up trembling, had thrown him off.

Bella waited until Nex was almost past, and then leaped over the bush to snap playfully at Nex's tail. She ducked at the last minute to avoid actually catching it.

Red smiled and kissed him back softly.
"Ok. If you feel like talking about later let me know," she whispered and laid back down with him.

Nex yowled in surprise and turned quickly. He relaxed and purred as he realized it was Bella. Pouncing at her, he leaped over her and landed a tail length from her side. Gently, he butted her in the side with his head and playfully rolled her over.

He nodded and then recalled he wasn't the only one with a secret. "You had something you wanted to tell me last night, didn't you? What was it?"

Bella rolled onto her side, grinning a wolf's smile as she pawed playfully at Nex.

Red frowned and looked away. "I was going to say that.. my power can only save me once..what happens if Ash gets me again?.." she whispered.

Nex growled playfully and softly grabbed Bella's scruff, making sure that his fangs barely touched her skin.

Arien hugged her close. "I don't know, Red. If we can destroy her first..., but I don't know her or her weaknesses." He rubbed her back and then added, "that was why I dreamed, I think. I dreamt Ash came back."

Bella whined when Nex grabbed her by the scruff, but she didn't struggle.

Red hugged Arien back and didnt want to let go either. "Arien.. I love you," Red whispered in his ear and gripped his shirt. The images of Ash from yesterday flashed through her mind and she tensed.

Nex let Bella go and licked her cheek gently before purring.

Arien gently rubbed her back, trying to calm her down. "There might be a way..." he began hesitantly and then stopped. He grimaced and looked down. It would cost him the gods-knew-what, but it was a chance better than nothing.

Bella brightened once Nex released her scruff and then turned to lick his furry ear, before wagging her tail and trotting off.

Red closed her eyes and listened but when Arien stopped, she pulled away. "What is it?" she asked, hope flaring in her eyes.

Nex grinned and trotted after Bella, flicking his tail happily.

Arien made a face and sighed. "My father has the gift of time; he can manipulate the present as well as the immediate past and future. He's made a lot of charms to help people, but...if I ask him for help, there's a possibility he'll be able to discover Ash's weakness using his gift."

He paused and then added. "But I haven't spoken to him since I left home; and while my brothers are close to him, I'm not. I can't promise anything, but it might help." He finally looked at Red. "Worth a try?"

Bella glanced over her shoulder at Nex, wagged her tail, and then stopped to prick her ears up at something scurrying in the underbrush.

Red searched his eyes and found what she was looking for. "Your afraid of talking to him or you hate him..is it worth it?" she whispered.

Nex paused and watched Bella. Waiting to see how she hunted.

"For you I'd gladly do it." Arien said without hesitation. He wouldn't necessarily like it, but he would do it. "I just need to find my brothers again so I can find out my father's whereabouts. He moves occasionally."

Bella crouched low in the undergrowth, her eyes forward and ears focused. She moved slowly until she melded with the shadows. She tensed and then leaped forward--but her prey wasn't a squirrel. Zane turned at the last moment and yelled as he saw a wolf leaping for him. Water gathered in his hands and then froze when Bella's eyes met his--and she skidded to a halt.

Red looked at Arien and smiled a little. She ran her fingertip lightly along his neck and kissed him gently.
"Let's forget about all our problems for just an hour..You tired?" she murmured.

Nex bristled and ran to Bella's side. Baring his fangs at Zane, he wasnt sure wether he was meaning to harm Bella or not.

Arien relaxed a little and shivered beneath her touch. "I wouldn't say tired, per se." He smiled. "I wouldn't mind spending some more time with you though."

Bella growled softly as she drew nearer to sniff him. Zane gamely held his ground, not that there was anywhere for him to go at the moment. When Bella's eyes left him, he lifted his hands in surrender.

"Nice tiger, nice wolf...is Arien still around?"

Red smiled and kissed Arien deeply. "Good, because we wont have much time to spend like this for a while," she whispered and kissed Arien again.

Nex growled, but forced his fur to lie flat.
"Why do you need to know?" growled Nex outloud.

Arien smiled. "I'll prove you wrong on that," he said, kissing her. His hand moved to the small of her back and drew a small circle.

Zane eyed the tiger warily even as Bella sat and looked at him. "It's a personal matter," he said at length. "But it's kind of urgent, because..." he rubbed his hands together and water spilled to the ground. "My brothers informed my father of Arien's whereabouts and of his new found ability."

Red shuddered and put her arms around his neck. "I-Im sure you wiil.." Red whispered.
Red leaned into Arien and his kiss, smileing.

Nex bristled and hissed. "Your brothers are no good liars," he growled, but then motioned for him to get on his back.

Nothing in the world felt more perfect than having Red in his arms, and Arien wanted that feeling to last forever. Even if he had to confront his father, he would do it for Red. And he would find and destroy Ash if it was at all possible.

Zane's eyes widened when the tiger seemed to want him to climb on. "I'll, er, walk instead. I'm not in that much of a hurry. Although if my brothers find me there will be...words exchanged. Besides, you haven't even met our father. You would know better than to cross him or you'll be spending the next year reliving the next five minutes over and over."

Red could spend all day with Arien like this. Nothing in the world could be better.

Nex pinned his ears back. "Red isnt going to like this.. her and Arien are having one of their um..moments i should say.." Muttered Nex as they walked through the woods to camp.

Zane kept a careful, respectful distance from the tiger and wolf. But at Nex's comment, he grinned. "Allow me..."

He lifted his hands and concentrated. Slowly a cloud of mist began to gather over the tent before fat raindrops fell.

Arien paused and frowned. "Is...is it raining?" he muttered, glancing up at the tent.

Red frowned and sat next to Arien. "Why does something always have to happen right during our time," she muttered and huffed like a little kid.

Nex pinned his ears back and flicked his tail nervously.
