Arien grinned and tweaked Red's nose. "Because the universe conspires against some of us more often than not? I'll be back..." He poked his head out of the tent and looked up to see just a patch of rain.

"Dammit, Zane! I thought you all left! Hours ago!"

Zane shrugged and stood there, suddenly not so high and mighty as he had earlier with his two brothers beside him. "Um, about that..." the look on his face said more than words ever could about what had happened.

Arien felt his face drain of color, and he sank down onto his belly. "Awww man, can't I catch a break?!" He glanced back at Red. "Well, good news is that we don't have to find my father; bad news is, my father will probably find us. Thanks to Zane."

Red was still pouting over Zane interuppting. Narrowing her eyes, she crawled out of the tent. Growling, she advanced on Zane then hopped on him and clung on like a burr. She bit his shoulder like a five year old would do.

Nex burst out laughing, Red looked hilarious clinging on to Zane and biteing him. Nex rolled onto his back, laughing.

Zane didn't know what to do--but he yelled when she bit his shoulder. "Ow! Ow! Get off!" Water sprouted from his body, making him slippery and nearly impossible to cling to.

Arien grinned, watching. "And you thought the tigers were scary... Would you please quit harassing us now?"

Bella watched and caught the excitement, frolicking around Zane and Red.

Red let go and scowled at Zane before walking over to Arien and kissing him deeply, pushing him over back into the tent.

Nex was still grinning and thought it was absolutely hilarious that Zane had just been bit by Red. He had never seen Red act so childish, but it was funny.

Arien went with it; falling back into the tent, snickering a little at Red's antics. "Remind me never to get you mad at me," he said.

Zane rubbed his shoulder where Red had bit him. He would have teeth mark for a while. "It wasn't that funny," he muttered darkly and turned to leave. He lobbed a water sphere at Nex and then fled.

Red grinned and nodded. "I could never truly be mad at you," she whispered before kissing him again.

Nex hissed and leapt to his paws, chasing after Zane with his teeth bared. If there was one thing Nex couldnt stand, it was water.

"Well that's good to know." He returned her kiss with enthusiasm.

Zane yelped and turned to spray water behind him, hoping to keep the tiger at bay. But he was a tad too far from the creek where Arien had originally set up camp...and he ran out of water.

Red kept kissing and put her arms around his neck.

Nex launched himself at Zane, bowling him over.

Arien couldn't get a breath in edgewise, though he didn't mind at all. He held Red close, feeling happy and content.

Zane yelled as he toppled backwards, crossing his arms in front of him to keep Nex from going for his throat. "Aaaah! I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"

The morning passed by quickly for Red and Arien. Red looked over at Arien, wondering if he was tired.

Nex growled then narrowed his eyes and hoped off Zane. He couldve crushed him if he wanted, but he chose not to. Though he looked back at Zane. "When do you think your father will get here?" he growled.

Arien grinned back at Red and gave her a thumbs up. He was good. "Well, sorry about the interruption earlier. Zane has no concept of 'personal matters'. Ironic, no?"

Zane hurriedly scrambled to his feet. "I-I don't know! He's a manipulator of time, but he can't actually teleport like Arien. And he takes his own time to arrive or not--as the case may be."

Red smiled and laughed a little then snuggled up close to Arien. Putting her head on his bare chest, she listened to his heartbeat. "Ironic," she agreed with a small laugh. Arien might not be tired, but Red certainly was.

Nex pinned his ears to his head. Then turned and stalked back to camp.

Zane sighed and fled back to his two brothers. They seemed pleased with themselves, but of course why wouldn't they? They loved getting a rise out of their youngest brother.

Arien smiled as he ran his hands through Red's hair, pausing to gently massage her neck. "For what it's worth, we've got plenty of time."

Bella followed Nex back to camp, her ears back and tail down, before trotting to catch up to him--delivering a quick lick at his face when she did.

Red closed her eyes and held onto Arien. "Mm thank you for letting me know..because im tired so having time is good.." she murmured.
Sleepily, she ran her fingertip lightly around Arien's chest and stomach.

Nex purred softly and relaxed when Bella licked his cheek. He softly licked her ear and walked close enough that their fur touched. When they got back to camp, Nex walked over to the tent but didnt go in.
"Hey Red. Zane doesnt know when Arien's dad will get here," Nex informed, in an irritated manner.

Arien started at Nex's voice coming from outside the tent. Fabric really didn't count as walls. He scowled, contemplating whether it was time to throw something at Nex, before realizing what the tiger had said.

"Oh, I wouldn't be too worried," Arien replied. "My dad doesn't particularly care about me. I'm just a nuisance to him." Of course, what he didn't think about was that because of such a thing, his father might want to catch up to him that much quicker. Arien sat up suddenly. "Oh snap, please don't tell me we're where I think we are..."

Bella nudged Nex with her nose, her ears pricked forward curiously. She didn't know what had him irritated, but she didn't like it. She gave him another tentative lick, trying to calm him down.

Red put her head back on a pillow as he sat up. "Mm..where do you think we are?" she murmured.

Nex purred and relaxed, not so irritated anymore. He rubbed his cheek gently against Bella's.

"My brothers don't travel far from home; they prefer not to stray from my father's influence. And he doesn't like them to stray either. So if they're still within his circle..." his eyes met Red's. "We probably have a day or two before he comes here."

Bella wagged her tail, whacking him gently in the side as she snuggled up next to him.

Red looked sleepily at Arien and smiled reassuringly. "We have time then," she mummbled. She took Arien's hand in hers then interlocked their fingers.

Nex kept purring as he layed down with her and put his head, softly on her back.

Arien smiled and let his fingers intertwine with Red's. "I couldn't care less when my father arrives. Though maybe if we met him willingly..." He trailed off and sighed in frustration. "I just don't know him well enough to predict him."

Bella heaved a sigh and closed her eyes, content and completely trusting of Nex.

"Is he going to hurt you Arien?" she whispered then gently pulled Arien down towards her.
"Why are you so worried?" she murmured.

Nex closed his eyes and drank in Bella's scent.
