So. We all have or at least used to have dreams at some point of our life
I'm curious, what kinds of dreams do you guys see? Do you use them as inspiration sources?
Do you see dreams in color? Ever wondered their meanings?
Discuss stuff~
But boy. Nightmares. Oh god.

But boy. Nightmares. Oh god.
This is what I had going for me this night
In my dreams, my mother was gone, dead. And I was on a mission with friends, trapped in a mansion with a huge locked door on one side (we could choose to open it too) and then a huge labyrint like hallway system that would take us further in the house on the other side. We had been taunted to not have lights on the labyrint side - not that we'd even be going there.
But the thing is, on the other side of the door (other than a frozen hall that would lead to the entrance) and in the labyrint, were skeletal zombies. My god. Yeah. I'm not sure if we had weapons or not, we were pretty chill at first - even if we were trapped in the middle and it was somewhat freezing. Our main reason for being calm was that the zombies wouldn't be able to unlock the big door, and darkness + us not seeing them/them not seeing us kept them calm. There was an old computer that I guesssss we used as our method of communicating to the outside world (because our phones were running out of battery) - we used stuff to listen to music and play games though
Eventually we did realize that we had left lights on the entrance side and the zombies that were laying right behind our door had started to wake up and become aggressive. So we switched the lights off for them and decided to switch the ones on the labyrinth side on, noticing that a fee had tried to sneak up on us
Not sure how the situation ended, probably with us making a mad dash at the door once we had figured ourselves some weapons

Some inspirational, some that are helpful reminders, and others that give me the moment of a lifetime, but I haven't had a nightmare in years.
If my room is clean in my dream, it means I need to clean my room. If I dream of Walmart then I have to go grocery shoppin. Just around four days ago I lost my wallet and I was panicking. The second night around I had a dream that it was in the pocket of my swim bag and sure enough when I checked in the morning it was there. At leat dreams are useful right?
As for inspirational, my dreams are repetitive, revolving around the same place. Though I was told many times that it was just dejavu, I had written it down. From what I have, I've visited that place around five times and I've actually mentioned it in an RP. It's special. There was also a dream I had that actually PICKED UP from where it left off and it's my favorite dream of all time. I had woken up crying. It was very tear-jerking.
Then there are suspenseful dreams aside from nightmares. I've been a lucid dreamer for a long while now, so I really don't have scary dreams. Just action packed suspense that makes me feel pretty bada** when I wake up. The only to time things get scary is when I try to wake up and I can't. If I even begin to get scared, the dream gets pretty sinister. (I had a dream from a zombie's POV once. Being a zombie is too fun!)
And lastly, you know how you feel pain in your dreams? I absolutely hate it. I got stabbed in the back once, and no not figuratively, and it HURT. Everything below my waist was numb and I couldn't move for a while.
Dreams are pretty awesome. I think looking at the upside in your nightmare will change the outcome of the dream. I see it as a challenge, really.

Oh lord. Those dreams are super useful.
I get a lot of Deja Vus, but I don't think I've gotten much reminder dreams at all. I only remember a few that have to do with something related to the real life. A nightmare of a nuclear war - my room was a mess and my parents came over. Not nice.
And then the teeth falling thingy - although those I can't truly confirm
Inspirational dreams can be super cool. I still need to write a few books of what I've seen xD Horror things though... I see a lot of nightmares...
You were able to continue it? Wow. I've tried that but never succeeded pretty much
I did have one reoccurring dream 8-10 years ago. Started making a comic out of it. But nope. I lost the notebook at some point. I did love that dream though, because in that one I was actually one of my characters and not a human. It was cool
Other thing. Lucid dreams. I personally am very bad at those. I had one where I was like "Screw this. I could steal this and fly away" and I tried, but failed aaaaand gave up and went back to normal dreaming
And of course I have to ask. What kind of nightmares did you use to see?
Ooooh. Pain dreams. I hate those. I got strangled and sure as heck when I woke up I felt it.

I would say that I don't dream anymore, but I heard from somewhere that we always dream and that if you "don't" then it's cause you forgot your dream. When I do dream, sometimes it's about hanging with my old friends (I probably dream about that because nowadays I'm really lonely). Sometimes I'm in an Anime or Manga that I've watched or read (Probably cause I wish my life took place in those worlds). Sometimes I'm falling (I have a fear of heights).
Ohh... This is a very interesting forum topic and I have to say: that was some dream you got there, Reima. I find it sorta cool except for the part where your mother died. But no worries, because it is said that if you dream of someone die, that person would live longer.
So anyway, I had dreams like that, too. Creepy and thrilling ones where you have to take risks and go through many tasks, but my dreams are often about the undead. It is either because of too much zombie movies or I'm just afraid of getting eatin' by a zombie or just both. And I have one dream in particular which sorta reminds me of your dream. It is about a zombie invasion that happened right after my mother's death. This dream occurred last September 28, 2015:
There is more to that actually, but they are too weird to mention. So, going back, I am a lucid and precognitive dreamer. I also go through episodic dreams that strangely happen on the same month each year, the same day each month, after 5-10 days maximum, or just once a year, and an example of that are my dreams about my vampire. And yeah, I do use my dreams as inspiration for new stories, but only the ones that seem very different and extra-ordinary. I also love reading dreams and finding out their meaning. It's such a mystery, and to me, the meanings of our dreams hold the secrets to our lives which we can barely understand...

Just a few days after my beloved mother's death...an invasion of the dead began. We all had to evacuate and so I, along with my remaining family members, had to go through a dangerous journey to the airport where we will be taken away to a more secure area. But within that journey to freedom, I was losing more and more of the people I loved until only two people remained with me -- my siblings. But sadly, at the end of it all, our efforts were in vain as everyone was killed once we reached the airport....

I had a dream that the Joker (from Batman) chased me around the front of my house swinging a hammer at me until I tripped and fell. He approached me and lifted the hammer, bringing it down on my head and killing me. Then the perspective was zooming out (like a camera angle zooming out in a movie) and the words "GAME OVER" appeared on the "screen".
^Lol that emoji at the end wasn't creepy at all....

0_0 Oooookaaaay...(Who has had the craziest/funniest/scariest/oddest dream? Challenge accepted! *Rival death stare*)
I had a dream that I was Batman and I was fighting the Joker. It only lasted roughly...five seconds. He punched me in the face and I was out. This was back in Kindergarten, and the next day at school I told the teacher: "Miss Tigolbitties (fake name)? The Joker beat me last night." I got sent to the counselor for the next few days to talk about this "Joker" who supposedly liked to beat me.

First of all, wth xD
Second, how'd you lose if you were Batman?
Third, "Miss Tigolbitties" lmaoooo
Fourth, "...to talk about this "Joker" who supposedly liked to beat me" Pause on that man xD
Oooh, nice~ I'm happy that people like this Dreams really are quite a mysterious force
In my dreams, it's... Kinda sad that things are usually very realistic. Like, I'd love some Team Rocket or such trying to chase me down, but more often than not, it's just regular people. Regular people that I just don't know personally and they try to chase me down and catch me. No superpowers included
Lots of Batman and Joker here xD I don't know, my strangest battle opponents must have been the fat Bart from one of the Simpsons horror house episodes. The one with the rug thing. I dunno, he was massive and blocking the hallway and physical contact hits would make his body eat you. Not sure how the eaten were rescued

I have known to get some very interesting, but fun/great dreams... Of course, according to some random facts which might as well be proven true, humans can only remember roughly 5% of what they dream up...if only there was an actual way to record all those experiences... I think I would have some very cool stories to tell. Hence why I have this username.
I've rarely get nightmares, but when I do I can very easily wake up from them because I'm a light sleeper.
Also looking though some of these earlier posts made me laugh so hard... What's with all the Batman dreams coming from?

Oh, on one note, some of you mentioned that a character originated from your dreams. Anyone else went with this? I know I have~
The character Ceres (that you can't find in RPR but I do have pictures of him in my Tumblr) originally appeared in a dream of mine, as a Nazi officer no less. That dream/series of dreams is one that I remember pretty well, most likely because I wrote it down in great detail
