Okay, so i know i may sound super girly and jealous and stuff, but it really is confusing and i dont know what to do, so, sorry if i sound like a ten year old crying over boy.

I have a crush on this guy in my grade, and after a while i felt like he liked me too, but i was so shy (and still am) and i never tried to talk to him, all i did was smile and sometimes he would try to talk to me, but i was just too shy. But then one of my good friends started to hang out with him a lot, and one day he told her he "liked" her, my friend then told me this and of course i was pissed. So I ignored her for a long time, and we grew farther apart, and it turns out, she never liked him back, i was heart broken, because for one part one of my closest friends became one of my farthest and for second, i now feel awkward and shyer then ever around the guy i liked. I kind of want to rid of my shyness and actually talk to him sometime.

Any tips, please?

Hello Misty! I have no experience with dating whatsoever but I still want to try to help. I am also a really shy person and pretty much all of the time I find it hard to talk to people, both real and online.

A piece of advice that I've found helpful is to force yourself to do things you're uncomfortable with. Soooooo....my advice is to talk to the guy at least once. You don't have to have a full conversation with him; just saying "Hi" is fine for now. Hope this helps

Also I'm a bit confused. The guy you liked confessed to your best friend. Your friend told you but you got mad at her instead of the guy? I'm not judging you or anything by the way. I'm just confused about the situation.
