'Check your pockets?' Amon thinks to herself while following the demand of the hooded woman. Sure enough in her pocket she finds a dorm room key, along with class schedules for beginners. The one thing Amon decides to give most of her attention to at the moment is the school guild. How else is she going to make it here? Normally she wouldn't feel so nervous but she's a human so she has a right to be a little off her game considering the company she is now in.
When Amon looks up from the guild book the hooded woman has vanished without another word leaving all those who were trailing behind her to their own devices. Amon looks around at her fellows and wonders if there might be another human among them? However it seems that she is very much alone in this regard. She might be able to pass for something else if she keeps her hood up but Amon finds her lack of confidence annoying to herself.
She was scouted out because of her magical talents, she should feel proud to be here. However that is that whole history about the war and humans being banished to their own plan of existence because of it. Actually being a human around here will be considered rare and maybe that won't be too bad?
Deciding to rid herself of her baggage Amon opened one of the dorm doors and literally threw her bad inside before shutting the door again. Well that left her with one last thing to do. Seemed everyone had had the same idea in regards to their dorm rooms. However a far amount had come back out of their rooms to seemingly socialize with each other. So far there were a few loud mouths, some large lizard man and a Basku. Loud personalities weren't so bad but they had to live up to what they were talking about otherwise they were honestly a waste of space.
Amon hadn't been sanding outside her door silently judging everyone for too long when the lizard man came bursting out of his room and sprinted down the hall, dragging some poor soul with him. Well that looked a little interesting? Honestly she would rather be friends with….smarter people but her feet carried her after them.
Not entirely wanting to engage with the group just yet Amon wanted the orc lizard dart off once again and bring back an Eviere. Amon didn't honestly know a lot about half the beings here but she wanted to learn about them. Be the less ignorant human. LIke were Eviere's as soft as they looked? Ok, that maybe wasn't a good question to go seeking the answer to. That might seem insensitive or something to them.
Amon had been pondering the idea of going up to one of the Eviere just to maybe sneak a quick touch on their soft looking fur when something came flying at her. She didn't really have time to execute a dodge or much else, her hand got about mid way up her torso in an attempt to block the incoming object but it failed. Something hit her square on the forehead before the object fell and landed in the crook of her raised arm. For a moment Amon just hoped said object wasn't something deadly, like she had been killed and had just not noticed it yet.
However looking down where she had managed to catch the falling object in her arm it turned out to be nothing more then a red marker. With one hand she picked up the marker, the tip had been nearly smashed but that had happened long before it had met her head. Amon was actually a bit unsure if the red marker had left a smudge on her forehead and with her other hand she reached up to check. Seeing how the marker tip was so destroyed the ink came out easily from the marker, so when she examined her finger tip Amon found them to be slightly red. Well this was just a tad embarrassing.
She was aware of the lizard orc saying something to the Eviere at his table before his loud foot steps made their way over to her. After stoping in front of her the lizard orc proclaimed that as an apology he would let her join 'team Victory'. Amon blinked up at him, "No hard feelings but I'd really rather n-" He'd turned his attention way from her yelling to the Eviere about having one last slot on the team and not being confident in her skills. She didn't take insult to it but the idea of coming off as talented only to later turn down the offer of being on team Victory was appealing to Amon. She tossed the marker behind her but was aware that it might have accidentals hit someone else in the face.
However before she could say yes or no or give any remark the lizard orc had begun to drag her off to the table he had come from. At this point Amon became aware of someone laughing. Turning her head she saw yet another Eviere. She seemed to be laughing at her. Well honestly Amon would have found the situation funnier if it had not directly happen to her so she couldn't put any fault in the Eviere girl's reaction. Instead she just smiled slightly, all the while still being pulling along by the hulking orc half breed.
The orc lizard's 'partner' at the table was soon to leave, having dealt with the orc enough. Even though he didn't need to he apologized for the orc's behavior before storming off to what Amon assumed was his dorm room. She felt a bit back for the Eviere. She wanted to go after him and say something, what she didn't know but maybe he was the type that would feel better if you left him alone for a little bit.
As Amon was thinking of making a break away form the orc a very handsome human came up to her, greeting her and offering her a handkerchief. Well that would be a lot better then trying to wipe the red marker off with her sleeve. Amon was just about to reach for it when another Eviere joined them. It was the one who had been laughing at her when the marker had first hit her in the face. The female Eviere seemed intent on stopping the human male form getting involved but clumsily fell before she had the chance to stop him. Guess that might have been karma for her laughing at her. However the Eviere was quick to jump up and sort herself out.
The handkerchief that had been offered her was soon taken from the human man's hand by the orc, who used it to rid his own body of some sweat before handing it back. 'So much for that.' Amon thought slightly giving the half orc a frown. The half breed went on to rabble a bit asking the human if himself and his Eviere girlfriend also wanted to be on team Victory. Amon wonder slightly is the Eviere was the man's girlfriend, she had tried to stop him from getting involved after all.
Honestly there was a lot going on Amon had no foresight to ever take into account before coming here. The half lizard called to another Eviere that had shown up, telling her to talk to the new members and about how a box was no longer needed before he ran off again. There was an odd silence before Amon decided to speak. "Well thanks for the handkerchief. Even if I didn't get to use it." Amon said addressing the other human and trying to rub the ink off her forehead with her sleeve.
Seeing as how the hyper half orc was gone it might be a good idea to make a run for it now but Amon decided against it. Maybe someone should go try and save that other white Eviere from the half breed. "Seeing as how we all have a moment of uninterrupted silence…." Amon mused aloud. "Anyone want to join my team?" Are teams even a thing? She doesn't know but she might as well offer it to anyone who doesn't want to get stuck with the half orc. She certainly doesn't.
