Uuuuh. How do I do this?? I suck at introductions. Nor am I good at smalltalk, but I guess this forum here is a good way to reach out to people...

What are you doing this fine day of May? I myself literally just joined, so I'm contemplating on what characters to upload while sipping on my coffee. Don't feel like spamming characters though. Should I upload the ones I like and are the the most proud over, or those that I think others will like?

*chuckles* Me? I'm just catching up on the usual to-dos here on RPR while still unsure of actually jumping into them or starting my own. I'm honestly a very shy thing at heart.

But may I be the first to welcome you to RP Repository? My name is Lotus, clearly, but I prefer to be called Light. Any other names for me is up to you to decide on. It's truly a pleasure to meet you!

Hmm. To be honest... Some of my own characters, if not all of them, are my pride and joy. I don't mind if others don't like them, because there will always be someone out there who does. Much like real-life people, actually. But, the choice is up to you on what characters to add. I'm sure everyone will love them regardless!

I really like the page so far, it's easy to browse and everything makes sense! Also I can tell while browsing, that the creator of this site got a good sense of humour.

But yeah, I do have one question. Is there an upper limit to how many characters one is allowed to upload? As far as I understand there is limited slots for new members. How does that work?

In response to your question, you are given 10 character slots with your basic membership. For muuunay (or whatever it is that they use for currency in the real world), you can either purchase an Epic membership, or buy extra character slots. You can also recieve gifts of them.

I see! Thank you for enlightening me. Ten is more than enough. I only uploaded 2 so far, so I've got plenty space left.

Ahhhh you've made me so happy. I'm so thrilled you're enjoying the community and my silly confirmation/error messages. Looks like your question already got answered, but I just wanted to reiterate that most everyone, including me, will be happy to help you if you run into any other confusions, concerns, or even just want to post up a suggestion.

The characters you're most proud of tend to be the characters everyone enjoys the most, from my experience. Development is always a must, at least for me, when I'm looking for characters to play with - and people like to spend time on their favorites!

A belated greetings! I noticed you didn't mention what kind of genres you're particularly interested in. While a cursory look at your profile suggests (arguably) Steampunk and Fantasy, is there anything else?

I'm a jack of all trades, but master of none. It's not so much the genre itself that determines if I'm having fun or not, but more a combination of good plot and well-written characters. Badly written characters makes a bad roleplay whether or not you're into the genre, you know? That being said, I'm more drawn towards fantasy, steampunk, supernatural, vampires, things like that. And oh, post-apocalyptic roleplays. I've done it in the past and I remember having fun with it. Also I like drama and conflicts, maybe a little romance too.


On a small sidenote; I often end up making fan characters for any fandoms my friends get me stuck in, then we do our own thing without involving the characters from the series/anime/book/whatever. I'm not one of them crazy fangirls that ships oc's with whatever good looking characters that happen to be available. I have more pride in my OC's than that.
