He thought about it for a second. "That sounds super bad...do you know how to repair that?" he asked hoping that she did know. Cars he knew. Droids, he didn't. He tried picking her up, and blinked rather surprised when he was able to. He honestly figured that she would weigh the same as a car. Clearly, whenever she changed forms though her weight changed. Machines were pretty awesome. (You said heavy as a car, light as a human.)
Tara's one eyebrow perked. "And what did you find that distracted him?" she questioned, extremely interested. Why did she have a bad feeling that this all was going to be a cover up that they didn't want her to find out.

(Yep! Her other info is on a page in Kyraniu's profile.)
''I don't..Know how to reapair it. It's got scratches on it, but the crack..Makes it leak power.''

If Clutch could smile, he'd be grinning from sideview mirror to sideview mirror. "Another AI car; like me, but older."
Eric looked down at her, almost tripping and falling. "Well...this is not good..." he said clearly disturbed by it. I can look at it I guess...I wouldn't know what to do though. We'll have to see if Tara maybe knows anything about AI cores. From what I understand see really doesn't though." he said, carefully adjusting her in his arms.
Tara sat there for a second processing what he said before she slowly turned and looked over at his radio. "What??" she asked slowly as she thought about it more. "Where did another AI like you turn up??" she asked now utterly surprised and shocked.

''I've managed to survive this long with it damaged, but it won't be too long until it stops working....And when that happens I'll be unable to be sentient.''
Clutch chuckled. "I went for a drive and some idiot bumped into me. I found her, Cranky Doortrap is her name, off a dead end road that connected to the highway. And I towed her back." He opted for the clean cut version, figuring that Tara might not take too well to his exciting day.
"I hope they're doing okay. Her brakes were out, but Eric assured her that he could use the emergency brake. Anyway, how was your day?"
"I hope they're doing okay. Her brakes were out, but Eric assured her that he could use the emergency brake. Anyway, how was your day?"
Eric winced slightly at the news. "Alright, I'll make sure I find someone who can at least temporarily patch it up if Tara can't do anything about it." he said as he looked up. They were almost home. "Will it drain still if you are turned off?" he asked now extremely worried. He hadn't meant for her to get hurt.
Tara sighed softly. "I'm glad that you met someone like you. It's not good to hear she isn't in good shape though...hopefully it isn't too bad. If it's just minor things I should be able to dig up my old text books and see what is going on and what I can do to fix it." she said with a smile. She then blinked and laughed softly, "My day was fine. Boring. All the same things over and over again."

CD shuts off, falling silent
"Same stuff? What do they have you doing?" His curiosity was suddenly interrupted when the AI sensor of his vehicle suddenly went spastic. "Uh oh..." The only thing he could think of was that something had happened to CD. But why would that affect his AI sensor?
Eric looked down at the AI. "Cranky?" he asked and then quickly sprinted back to his house, laying her down on the garage floor. He felt bad doing that but he had to remember, she originally was a car. If she somehow turned into a car again, he didn't need or want her doing that in his house. He slowly started to pry around, looking for a way to get to her core to look at it. He had never dealt with humanoid droids before though. So that made him extremely nervous.
Tara was about to answer whenever she heard Clutch go "uh oh." She blinked confused, "What is uh oh?" She couldn't help but ask. It was a legitimate question to her. "Clutch?? What is uh oh?" she asked starting to panic.

CD remained in her humanoid form, out cold, the core shut off. Hre dress was ripped at where the core was at, a small white pulsing crystal inside a metallic holder. The pulsing was tuned to that of a heartbeat. It would pulse, even if CD herself was shut down, to indicate she was still alive. But there was a crack running within it, where a white liquid would come out ocasionly. A charged up water-based substance that easily transferred the data CD had was now leaking onto the floor.
Clutch was distracted, trying to monitor the strange readings of his AI sensor. But it wasn't something he could interpret without some outside help. "Uh what? Oh, um, it's nothing. I think it has to do with Cranky Doortrap--the AI car I found. My AI sensor is doing strange things...and it wasn't earlier. Are you good with these types of things, Tara?"
He sped up, anxious to follow the trail to its source--which, ironically, was leading them back to the garage.

Fuck, fuck, fuck. Eric thought frantically as he carefully laid her down once he realized where he core was and went and grabbed duck tape. "Just a temporary fix." he said as he tore off a few small pieces and put them over the crack hoping that it would slow down the leak even just a little bit.
Tara blinked at his comment and replied nervously, "Well, I know some things about AIs. I've worked with a few really basic cores and I know some about issues like that but I don't remember a lot. If I need to I could find my text book. I still have all of them just in case I needed them later in life. There was a lot in them that I wasn't required to read."

CD didn't stir, but the leakage slowed a bit, pooling under the duct tape.
"That would probably help." Clutch pulled up the driveway and stopped short of the garage when his AI sensor indicated he was closing distance on CD. "I think we're here. Eric? CD? You guys here?"
Eric looked up as Clutch and Tara pulled into the drive way. Although Clutch couldn't see, there was panic in Eric's eyes. "Tara help! Help help help! Her core is cracked. Help!" he said as he put pressure on the duck tape not knowing what else to do. Tara quickly climbed out of Clutch and looked at him.
"What? Her cor- oh my god. What the hell happened?? That isn't a small crack!" she said before she quickly ran into the house and pulled out boxes of her old things. Cores were never an easy thing to repair from what Tara remembered but it was possible. She hardly had any of the supplies that she needed though. When she came back out, she quickly handed Eric an extremely large needle. "Eric, I need you to suck up as much of the liquid from her core as possible. We can inject it back in properly whenever I get this patched."
Eric stared at the needle for a second and then slowly and hesitantly did as he was told. He managed to get almost all of the liquid from her core so there was only a small pool at the bottom. Tara then sighed as she pulled out a small piece of metal. "Do you have a flame thrower?" she asked looking over at him. He nodded as he held the needle. She then took the needle and quickly went inside as Eric got the flame thrower. Whenever Tara came back out, Eric had it up and running and she had a fairly large piece of metal. It clearly wasn't the same type as what CD had but as Tara had said, this was just a patch job.

CD remained deathly silent, her core still pulsing like a heart.
Clutch waited anxiously, his window wipers keeping time in spite of the lack of rain. "Come on, CD," he muttered, "Please be okay."
A few minutes later after Tara made sure that it was a solid welding job, she started to slowly put back in the liquid that she had taken out. She made sure that ever last drop was put back in and then Tara quickly welded over the hold she had left to insert the liquid. She sighed softly looking to make sure there wasn't any other leaking. For the moment it was fine. She then leaned up and lightly patted CD's face, figuring that the droid could wake up on her own in human form. Eric watched for a distance fairly nervous about the whole situation. "Hey, you okay?" Tara asked softly.
''Nnngh..'' CD groaned, then shifted carefully back into her car form, brown eyes looking at Tara. ''I think so...What happened?''
