''I think so..But I won't be able to go fast with this low fuel light blinking to my right in my sight you know. I hope your telling the truth.''
"I don't lie," replied Clutch. "We'll go slow, but if you're about to run out, let me know." He still had half a tank left, so he wasn't worried.
''Lead the way.'' She replied, enginge revving to life again, though it faltered as a bit of power shortage clunks it a bit. ''Before it goes out.''
"Alrighty! Follow my bumper." He revved his engine and then took off...at a grand 25 mph. "Think you can keep up?"
CD huffs and revvs her enginge up, going off at 29mph, engine a tad too powerful for a basic start. She was built to start at 50mph on the dime, to leave a trail of dust in those who had raced her. Starting at 29 was forcing her to strain her engine to keep the speed needed, while giving her core a jolt to do so.
"Or we can go faster," Clutch replied with a cackle.
He headed for his garage, knowing the shortest route with the least traffic to get there.

CD gruffs, and gets up to 30mph, mumbling. ''How far?''
"Not much farther. About five more miles..." He recognized the roads now based on his GPS. "We're almost there." Please, he thought, let us get there in one piece. Of course if CD did stall, her lack of brakes would probably keep her rolling long enough...
[sorry, had bath]
As if cue her engine put put puttered as the fuel ran dry, systems stuttering as gas no longer passed through the various pipes and gears admist the tank. Her core rattled in a fit, power failing quickly. ''Agh, gas!''

Clutch sent out his tow cable, the magnet on the end catching on CD's bumper. "I gotcha. Hang on."
He rounded the corner and blasted his horn, hoping someone was home. He applied the brakes, hoping that CD wouldn't crash too hard into him. Please don't dent... he thought as he blasted his horn again.

THUNK
CD bumped into his bumper, breaking on of her headlights and getting her dazed. ''Ow!..Aw, my left headlight.'' She whined, core rattling again, engine puttering even more. Power failing badly, unable to detect any fuel from her empty tank, basically getting her dazed and barely awake.

"What the hell Clutch! You don't need to make an entrance every time you come home!" a man said as he walked out of his half of the townhouse. The man's name was Eric and he was a fairly stereotypical racer. He always wore slightly torn older looking jeans, a white white beater, a racing jacket and a pair of fairly nice racing gloves without the finger tips.
He stopped and blinked staring at Clutch and the other car behind the red Buick. "Awwww Clutch. Did you bring me a new car home as a thank you for taking you to the races." he said as he walked over to Clutch, not aware that the 'new car' was an AI similar to what Clutch was.

"Ah! My bumper!" Clutch yelled as he rolled to a gentle halt in front of the garage. "We made it though, CD. CD? Hang in there!" He blasted his horn, and then recognized Eric's voice.
"Eric...can you fix her? She just ran out of gas and her brakes are out."
"Eric...can you fix her? She just ran out of gas and her brakes are out."
CD's brown eyes glanced upon the guy she heard, though her vision was beginning to blur. ''And by what standards are you insiting that I'm 'new'?'' She snapped, engine rumbling in a deep protest of her speech. Still barely concious, getting weak by every passing minute.
Eric had been about to reply to Clutch when the other AI interrupted him. He jumped as she spoke and then looked closer at her realizing that she clearly wasn't just a car. "The hell??" he said as he walked over to her and lightly placed his hands on her hood. "You have eyes!!" he said looking at him clearly shocked at that fact.
Clutch chuckled. "Eric, CD; CD, Eric. He's the guy I trusted to do an oil change. I think he'll be able to fix your brakes. Won't you, Eric?"
Clutch kept the tow cable hooked to CD, unsure of whether he should deactivate the powerful magnet on the other end. The gas at least would be an easy fix.

CD grumbled. ''Yes, and your hands are on my hood, where my core and engine is. I am a retired spy, therefore my build of ways is different than a standard AI. I was built to do missions, so eyes were needed to see. My full name is Cran----'' And she shut off, power out instantly from the gas tank empty.
Eric blinked for a second and then pursed his lips. "you did say she needed gas didn't you..." he said just realizing WHY Clutch had been so desperate for him to put fuel into her tank. He quickly headed into his half of the parted garage and grabbed a gas tank before going over to CD and opening her fuel tank door and then putting what he had into her engine.
"If I fix her up the money we won in the last race isn't going towards your web cams..." Eric said as he waited for CD to take all the gas he was putting into her. "Breaks aren't cheap and neither is gas to keep your butt running much less a whole other car who looks like she's going to need more then just breaks."

Clutch's stereos crackled again. "That's alright," Clutch said. "I'm sure she'd be able to win it back for you, no problem."
He waited to see if Eric needed it spelled out to him. Surely a peek under the hood would show that CD was a racer...maybe. "Did you put some gas in her?"

After a bit CDs engine revs to life loudly once the tank was filled half-way, a decent whir of gears sounding and the core sparking back to life. ''Racing?'' CD asked, eyes wide. It had been too long since she had run a real race, not one of fleeing from bullet. Her hood was dented slightly, the engine shine seen undemeath. ''I like to race!'' She exclaimed.
