So, I'm not sure what's going on, and if maybe this is just my Chrome or what, but some of my drop-down menus in my formatting options aren't... you know... there. And by some of them, I kind of mean all of them. I mean, like, there's this thin blank space that I can click into if I'm careful, and it'll select the first option in the menu, and then I can manually alter the formatting via BBC code in the text box, but that's pretty much it. Any tips or suggestions?
I'm a little confused. Can I see a screenshot?
Better yet! If you're using chrome, look at the problem page, and then press ctrl-shift-J. It will open a little window. Make sure you've selected "console" from the list of options along its top. Then show me what you see in there.
Thanks much! I'll see if I can reproduce the problem.
Weird thing. They were just working, just for a second. But when I clicked in the text box to start typing, they went away, and now I can't get them back...
What is the symbols in the bottom right of your textboxes? Are you running some plugin?
It's the Grammarly extension. I disabled it to see if that was the cause but it did the same thing- the drop menus worked until I actually clicked in the text box. Then all of my formatting options on the toolbar disappear for two or three seconds, reappear, and then none of the menus work.
Yeah, personally I stopped using grammarly because it messes up almost every site I'm on re: forum tools and such.

Just to clarify, you still have the problem with Grammarly disabled? Do you have any other plugins running? Try disabling all of them and restarting Chrome just to ensure you're working with a clean slate. It might be another plugin causing it.
Sanne, you called it. I disabled all but one of the extensions I attached to Chrome prior to the issue coming up and restarted, and now it seems to work fine. So it was either Grammarly or Google Dictionary. Luckily, it wasn't my Microsoft Office extension, because I've been using the [radio edit] out of that and I'd cry if I had to get rid of that.
Glad that worked! You can probably find out which one it was by enabling them one by one, restarting each time and trying to recreate the problem, in case you really want to use one of the suspected plugins.
