Multiple ads from other RP sites, lists, chat rooms, etc.
What interested you in joining?
I've RPed before, but last time some great friends left, so I abandoned the site. It's been about a year, and I feel it's time to start again. The community here seemed fantastic.
Ever done this text-based roleplaying thing before?
See above. Yes. For quite a while. Wasn't half bad at it either, though not anywhere near great.
Any previous experiences you want to share?
Uh... I could go on for pages about everything I've written. A few highlights were being featured at the local school/hub-of-everything-in-town for a short story I wrote a while back. I was the most frequent poster for about a month strait on my last RP site, most of that was general derping around in the posting games though... It counts!
Now for the questionnaire!
Do you prefer:
Playing male, female, or other-gendered characters?
I've played solely male in all my RP(ing?) However, I look forward to attempting a female character soonish
Spontaneous or planned RP?
Spontaneous is much more natural, which I prefer. However if you get together a group of friends and really plan a big story out, it can be loads of fun. (Sadly that is where my old friends dropped off my last site, which ruined it for me.)
Military or civilian characters?
Military, typically. Though I had a scientist once, that was a blast. Civies can be fun sometimes, I suppose.
Humans, androids, anthros, or aliens?
Humans. Typically.
Roleplay via forum posts or in real-time?
Forum posts typically. Though I do love a good post volley.
On a scale of 1 to 3, what's your preferred level of these in your RP:
Language: 2-3: Doesn't bother me at all what or how you type, they're just words to me. You can spit all the fire you want. I'm cold as ice baby... That sounded better im my head.
Violence: 2-3: I love a good stabbing, when it's not me receiving. Though not everything should be violent.
Sexuality: 1-3: Love is great. It drives people and I'd enjoy writing it (Never actually have. Yet.) However it should never be the ONLY thing in a story. *Glances at Fifty Shades of Grey*
What's something cool you'd love to RP?
Well, I've always RPed lawful(ish) characters, who love to charm their way out of things. even if they're holding the bloody knife.
So I'd like to break that mold.
A pickpocketing, thieving, deceitful, backstabbing, suspicious-of-people, sly girl who hates to be near people, but needs to due to her profession. Conning. You want that shipment of supplies guarded? Sure! It'll be mine within the hour. Oh, you want to buy this super rare thingy? It's totally fake. You get the idea. You wake up to see everything but your bed missing, with a note left on it with nothing but a smiley face.
So anyways. I hope to be here for a while. However I may be a bit tentative to join massive projects, as the last one fell through and left me without anything to RP for a year.

Welcome to the site! That was indeed an awesome intro. I completely understand the pain and discouragement of your favorite RP friends needing to quit. Having a bunch of them do it in a short time span can be killer.
I'm really curious where you saw ads for us! Were they like, sigs in people's posts, or were they actual ads in ad boxes?

Oh, and Light/Side/Lotus/I can't decide what to call you, I read mostly action/adventure sci-fi, some fantasy, very little modern day-type books though. I'd have to recommend the Metro series (Metro 2033, Metro 2034, and I believe Metro 2035, though I'm unsure.) It's a fantastic little series, set in the underground metro systems of Moscow after a nuclear war destroyed the surface of the planet, there's monsters, gang wars, drama, all of that fantastic stuff. It's also really, really dark. So yeah.

I watched a YouTuber play the video games. It was so freaky
I didn't know they were based off of books though. I may check them out
