Hey fellow RPers!

My name's Colt.

It has been a long time since I have participated in forum roleplay, but I have been considering getting back into it for awhile now and stumbled upon this site when talking to a friend in Elder Scrolls Online, so I decided it was fate and signed up. I'll probably be a little rusty, but I started RPing when I was twelve and continued up until I started college when I got really into PC gaming. Since then, I've done some RPing in MMOs, but I just never liked it as much as forum RP. There is just something about being able to put any character in any setting with only your own creativity setting the limits that MMO RPing just lacked.

From past experience, I tended to prefer realistic, fantasy, and supernatural RP that is either one-on-one or in a group of no more than two other people. However, it is been so long since I did original RP that I'm not quite sure if those preferences have changed. I would really prefer to start out with one-on-one RP, though. I'm rusty and need some time to get back in the habit.

I'm a pretty boring guy in real life. I go to school sometimes--where I am getting a Master's degree in Cultural Studies/Media Studies. I go to work sometimes--recently as a bartender. I have a love for strategy games--video game or otherwise--and RPGs. However, most of my time is spent ranting to my friends about anything and everything from the standpoint of a postmodern humanist with socialist and feminist leanings living in the US.

Feel free to ask me questions. =)

Thank you. =) I think I'll quite enjoy it here.
Welcome to RPR! I hope you're enjoying the site so far! :D If you have any questions about it, please don't hesitate to ask. We're always happy to help out our new members! :)
A bartender, huh? I've always wanted to learn more about bartending, really. Not only to broaden my mind as a backup plan, but to have some inspiration for one of my characters who is a bartender.

Anyway. Welcome to RPR! I'm Lotus, but call me Light or anything you like! It's really sweet to meet you!

So, what kinds of characters do you find yourself playing as the most? I usually go for either the feisty types with a mouth, or the shy types with a hidden depth or dark side.

If you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask any of us! We're all happy to help newbies and experienced players alike!

It is an interesting job. I started as a contracted bartender that worked alcohol-related festivals, but I only recently found a full-time bar job, so I know a small amount of information about a lot of different kinds of beers, wines, and liquors. Honestly, I learned most of what I know so I could answer alcohol snobs who ask a lot of very specific questions. Or, worst, answering the questions of people that come there on a diet and get pissed that we don't have the box with the calorie information on it. I much prefer my college town bar to the festival scene.

I play a large range of characters in a multitude of settings. I had a futuristic space scientist that was searching for a new planet for humans to live that ends up on a island full of natives trying to kill off the teams members one by one, who I'd like to revive as an RP character as the partner I had for that RP didn't last long. I am currently working on a knight that uses his position to be a serial killer in a medieval setting. I also have a recovering alcoholic warlock in a modern-day fantasy setting who gets caught up in something bigger--not sure what I mean by bigger yet.
Yooo DS, welcome to the forum. From reading over your intro, you're going to fit in just fine ;) - I love the elder scrolls series, one of my long time friends used to bartend (it was interesting seeing him work and the stuff he put up with), and you seem like an outgoing guy. Again, welcome!

There's not a whole lot to expand on at this point: we've got labeled subforums, and groups that other users have made that cater to more specific things - Fandoms, kinks, rp plot among friends, etc, you are free to join any you'd like :) - along with the occasional site wide contest.

I personally haven't rped much myself in a long time but the site has a warm and friendly user base so I've been around for a while. If you've got any questions or anything, give me a holler.
Hi there! Welcome to RP Repository! I hope you have a great time here, because I can assure you from my own experience here that you will have fun!
Hey there, welcome to RPR, Colt! As Bones said, you'll fit in just fine for sure. :'D There are plenty of us around that have a high appreciation for the same things that you do, and desire pretty much the same things in role play. u v u /

Anyways, I do hope you enjoy your stay here~

I haven't yet, but I went to the beach this weekend. I didn't want to start something and then disappear for a few days.
