You and few fellows wake up lying on the floor of a small wooden shack, the inside is rather empty, with only a table and a few chairs surrounding it, with a map and lit candles on top of it, and a few half-empty storm lanterns. You only have your things on you, and strangely, it is dark outside. Unsettlingly dark. A misty pine forest drenched in darkness surrounds the old shack. And not a single star in the sky shines... Something is off...
One of the walls of the shack is splattered with blood, with claw marks and everything, and a corpse lays beside it, with something written on it with the crimson ink... "ESCaPe tHRu CItY" You notice that whatever did that was able to rip the wooden door off of it's hinges. You also notice, that flashlights and other electronics do not seem to work correctly.
Unto the Darkness...

The darkness gave way to only a slightly less dark room as Selbi's eyes flickered open. A panic quickly filled his body as he shot upright, holding a hand to his spinning head. The wooden floor, flickering candles, the smell of rot, and the steady sound of breathing around him- this definitely wasn't his home. It wasn't even the cafe he worked at. He stood up hesitantly, slowly scanning the other sleeping bodies on the floor as he adjusted the jacket on his shoulders. His eyes stopped on one in particular, one that had certainly had a bad night's rest. It was bloody, clawed up, and sporting a rather foreboding message. Selbi felt his breathing pick up, shallow, and he eyed the door, or rather, where the door would have been if it hadn't been removed.
"What on earth?" he muttered shakily. He shook the shoulder of the person nearest to him, hoping desperately that they might be able to enlighten him on what the heck was going on.

Someone was shaking Adán. On any normal day he would think that it was just one of his friends who rudely barged in his apartment to wake him up because 'it's not okay to sleep past twelve' and that's what he figured it was, just a normal day. "Don't wake me up if it isn't past one..." He mumbled as he rolled over. Sure, his bed felt strangely hard and cold, and there was a chill in his apartment, and it kind of smelt like somebody died- wait. This wasn't his apartment. His eyes shot open and he quickly sat up, ignoring the person who woke him up. Adán's eyes darted around the room. "Where am I?" He muttered to himself, "... Who are they?" His gaze shifting to each individual, pausing at the dead-looking person 'causing him to gasp, before finally turning to the person who woke him up, "...Who are you?!" His voice had slightly raised up from a mumble to a more or less yelling-whisper that slightly trembled out of the fear that was rising in him, "Do you have something to do with this?" He wasn't thinking clearly. If this person did have something to do with this then he wouldn't of woke Adán up. Unless he was a sadistic killer who liked seeing the fear in his victims before they were brutally killed.
"No, you didn't do this. Sorry" He apologized as he got up and brushed off his jeans. He fixed his dark green jacket as stared at the dead-looking individual. He now saw that they were clearly dead and had some rather ominous writing on them. "...Escape through city? What?" He didn't like any of this at all. "Do you know what's going on here?" He asked the stanger as he turned around.

Selbi felt his skin form goosebumps over his arms as his now fully awake body told him to leave this freaky place and return to somewhere more familiar. Of course, the person he woke up was equally as clueless. He shivered involuntarily, running a hand through his red hair and around the singular, spiraled horn that protruded from his forehead.
"I was about to ask you the same thing," he admitted. "But... i-it's okay. Maybe someone else here knows what's going on, and if they don't, we can figure it out, right?" He tried to remain cheerful, forcing an honest smile once he finished speaking. He stuck his hands in his pockets- one gripping a pack of gum and the other a pack of cigarettes- as he looked over the rest of the people in the room. He quickly stuck a piece of gum in his mouth before walking over to another person and gently tapping on their shoulder. "Hello, do you know what's going on?"

"...Is that a... horn?" Adán shook his head, "Y'know what, nevermind. Body modifications and all that. I don't think the other people are going to wake up anytime soon so you and I need to figure out what's going on." He walked over to one of the chairs by the table and sat down. He took out his phone to call for help but, strangely, his phone was acting up. He attempted to mess with it for another minute before he groaned and angrily shoved it back in his jean's pocket. "Stupid broken thing." He grumbled before looking back at the strange guy, "How about your's? Is your phone working? Can you call for help?"
"Body modifications? But I don't even have my ears pierced," Selbi replied, though almost under his breath. He looked once more at the other people, who must've been very deep sleepers, and joined his new friend by the table. "My name's Selbi," he informed as he took his phone out of his pocket. It was off, which was strange, and when he tried to turn it on, it made an angry crackling noise and sparked once before Selbi threw in on the floor. "It's never done that before," he said, frowning at the device. Darn, now he couldn't feed his virtual cats anymore. He sniffed. Daisy and Mr. Fluffles didn't deserve a fate like this.
At least my phone didn't do that... yet Adán thought as he looked at the now-cracked phone that laid on the ground. "Um, Adán. I'm Adán," He said as he dug into his jackets pockets. "We, uh, need to see what supplies we have on us. To see what could help us. What do you have?" As he said this he took out a matchbox and his wallet. "It's not much, but then again I didn't expect to get kidnapped today."
"It's nice to meet you," Selbi somehow managed to keep up his cheery disposition. He nodded and check his jeans pockets first, setting his wallet and a gas stop-sized bag of mini oreos on the table, then followed those with the pack of gum and half empty lighter from his jacket. "Look, we don't have to starve," he said, pointing at the oreos with a laugh. He looked at the map on the table. "What's this thing say, anyway?"
Adán chuckled at the 'not starving' comment before looking at the map on the table. "It looks like a map... Do you think it's a map through forest?" He asked. Hopefully, it was and he could but this whole nightmare behind him.
Selbi re-pocketed everything he'd set on the table to get a more clear view of the map. He looked outside as far as he could into the blanket of darkness to try to get some sort of bearing on where they were, then scanned the map to see if the building they were in was at least on it.
"I bet it is," he assured. "Then we can get home before whatever brought us here comes back. Nothing too difficult at all, except a bit of night cover. I think we should get ice cream when we do, and for all these other sleeping people, too." He nodded with a smile. "Speaking of which, what should we do with them?"

On the map contains multiple regions and symbols. There is also a compass on the table with the map, which the pointer points directly north towards the entrance of the shack that they are in.
There is a house symbol on the map in the very south west corner of it. It is labeled "My Home", with the entire forest being drawn on the map, pointing out other buildings within the forest such as "Sheila's House" and "Apothecary Shack". The forest encompasses the entire south-west portion of the map.
The North-west portion of it marks a large area called "Aesir Plains" which is shown to have what seems to be multiple small towns on the map.
The South-east is labeled "Riverwood Shallows", which is detailed to supposedly have many rivers, and possibly a shoreline. Near the very South-East of the shallows lies a symbol marked as "Three Stones".
And in the North-east lies a large walled and grand city.
You can also see smaller symbols on the map written down to look like graves and shrines. Some of the names are "Robert's Grave, Pop's Grave, Quail's Resting Place, Where Sis gone missing, My Last Wishes, Drayden's Grave, Where Alsta was last seen", that might not bode well, though some might be worth checking out...
There also seems to be a note towards the right side of the map...

A faint rustling noise comes from a dark corner of the shack. Acetin had been the first to wake up, and decided the best way to learn more about the situation was wait in the dark until someone woke up, but when the man with a horn woke up first and didnt notice him, his curiosity got the best of him and he stayed silent, watching and listening to see if he could pick up some more information on what exactly was going on. He was quite intelligent for his age and had already picked up on what they needed to do now. It was obvious that they needed to go through the north, into the east, as the sign said 'escape thru city' and it slightly bugged him that through was spelt incorrectly.
"Ummm... hi" Acetin said awkwardly, now realizing how weird it was for him to be watching from the darkness. He never had Been the best at meeting new people, and his cheeks were already burning with embarrassment.

A mechanical whirring can be heard from one of the corpses, at least, it was corpse-like. He was just waking up, his mechanical arm had picked up on this. His eyes fluttered open, and he launched into an upright position, sitting up and looking around frantically. His boots didn't seem to be from the modern day, and his arm was entirely mechanical, but it was much further advanced than the modern prosthetic. (I've been meaning to join for a while as I was accepted to do, but I could never find the link and I swear I'd checked the forums at least ten times. If you wish for me to leave, I will, just say so! I'm joining as Leo from my Projects Series 1 article, he should be on the first page.)
(did this rp just die? ;_;)
(aww man. This seemed really good. It was also my first one... lame. )
