Just wondering. Looking for some other brothers and sisters, and even non confirming people too! Just to chat with. Kinda in need of some advice (willing to share in forum) preferably from someone who is already on hormones too.
Tate

Agender here!

I'm not (yet) on hormones, but I have a lot of friends and potential resources (as a ((somewhat ex-)) activist in the trans community), and a decent amount of education on T; Estrogen, not much personally, but I can probably hook you up with some answers.

Feel free to PM me, just note I'm a bit under the weather atm, so I might not answer immediately!

Hello!!! Nuhhhh don't be under the weather! /o

I'm hoping to get on T by the end of this year.

Have you been seeing someone about it, got a plan, blood tests? c:

HAHA I'm famously hard to get blood from, when I went to get blood tests last time and they finally found a vein (I fainted the time before AHAHA), it ended up in the wrong vial. Like...one test that required a different vial, and that's what held me back.

I'm gonna get it sorted, myself, once the summer is over! Summer's a hard time on my household moneywise.

Speaking of money, though - make sure you can keep up with any costs, there's issues you run into a year in that requires more medication of other sorts to keep you healthy, but it ain't so bad. Just gotta make sure you keep money aside, and keep a good eye on your health.

There's actually an informed clinic about an hour away from me that I plan on going to instead.

Oh jeez, that sucks! I've had to have blood drawn multiple (and I mean MULTIPLE) times as I was growing up (I'm 18 now) so I've kinda gotten used to it ahha.

Yeah summer seems to get pretty bad :x

Yeah, I'm getting a job hopefully in a few weeks and putting away more and more money. It may not be until the beginning of next year till I can start but I'm aiming for the end of this year. (Christmas present for myself, hmmmm? xD) It gives me time to loose weight and all anyways.

Hey there~

My name's Travis :) I'm a transman; pre op, pre-T, closeted to family but all my friends know. Not sure what kind of advice I could give but I'm always a good ear and strong shoulder :D

Howdy Travis! How are you?
Hello. I've been on testosterone for roughly three to four years and am due to have surgeries this year or next.

I do not identify as transgender. I identify strictly as male and run into problems quite a bit because of this. Apparently identifying as 'cis' while not being 'cis' is a bad thing.

I'm cranky and no-nonsense, but if you need info/help regarding transition and you're genuinely serious about it, I'd be happy to share what I know.
Hey! Name's Colt. I'm a 24-year-old, non-binary transman who has been on T for 5 years and is 2 years post-op. I'm currently a graduate student in Cultural Studies/Media Studies in the USA.
waddup yo.

cuban/taino transguy, mid-20s, two-spirit (something something my culture, something something reeeee appropriation but please don't actually be those non-native folk), blah blah blah with all these titles and whatever. i'm kind of just pretending to be a person tbh.

was on T for a while, off until current IM meds baseline. should be back on in ~3 mo with any luck. hmu with your questions, even uncouth or insensitive ones. TLDR for the things i get asked the most:

faab.

i liked women before, liked women after T.

bottom surgery is out of the question for now, top surgery should be scheduled by the end of the year. uhhh.

my pronouns are not attention-grabbing nor is my chosen name bc it's legit unsafe to be the way we are around here. he/him/his, "they" for people who don't argue. otherwise i'm just a tiny dude to most folks, julio, j, jack, whatever. i get mistaken for a teenage boy a lot which is whatever i guess. i'd rather be an 'it' tbh, but i'm kind of gross.

present as "male" 24/7.

anyone near NYC/Philly/tristate area feel free to hmu if you need recommendations on good clinics or endos. can help w insurance info in NJ.

i'm normally a very private person and like to keep this info on the DL if i can but hey, i don't think y'all i ain't trust got any of my IRL info so have at it.

oh and if you go on T and take other medications, you must seek out and speak with a good, extra-super qualified doctor because of heart/liver/kidney issues. real talk.

anyone worth their salt will do blood tests every few months. if they don't, push for it or pref find a new dr. if they don't ask if you smoke cigarettes (or anything else), of any heart conditions or ailments in your family, seriously do not go back to them. i know in the short-term HRT seems good, but it can be really messy with an adult body, so... just be careful.

also, informed consent is great and all, but get therapy. really. it will help you immensely.

it takes a lot to offend me and i am by no means a drama queen or SJW, sooo... yee. question me all ya want yo.

e: aaaand if you live in the US and qualify for your state's insurance, uh... definitely do that. they cover everything short of cosmetic things, so if you can get a good dr and are below the poverty line like i am (oh god what a stereotype) you can get your insurance to cover HRT and possibly surgery. do the thing, you'll be happy you did.

okay i need to sleep now.

Been doing alright, how are you?
*a cement masonry unit comes hurtling in*

Eyyy! Transmasculine person with no current access to HRT here. Living that dream. ._.

If anyone else on this thread is also in a situation where they can't start their transition for any reason (financial, geographical, no social support, etc) I'm here to lend a sympathetic ear.

I have support from friends online and my hubby, but I'm utterly terrified of coming out to my family, so I've been refraining out of that fear. I know if I go to my mom's or dad's one day with a beard and no chesticles, I'm bound to at least be disowned. So yeah..

That's rough. :/ I'm staying with family for a while due to financial hardships, so I have to really stay on the down low or likely end up homeless...

Howdy Sootball! That's fabulous! I wish you luck hun! How are you today?
Transmasculine genderfluid person here. I'm not on hormones, nor do I plan to get bottom surgery. Top surgery may be considered though. Also, I'm AFAB.

Right now, my main focus is getting my hands on a binder and buying more androgenous attire...
