Since I shared this with my friend and though it was funny...
Waiting on art be like...
After you leave a note and are waiting for a reply...
Then they tell you to be patient...
This does not refer to any artists personally, nor is it meant to be offensive. It's simply messing around and sharing some comedy with someone.

Literally hate waiting, I'm like "give me art please...."
The waiting is breathtaking.

And then, of course, when you do muster up the courage to open that e-mail...
(Seriously did have this happen to me yesterday. The piece is phenomenally gorgeous, waugh.)

Doing art be like...
ur overloaded n underselling urself as it is but a client underpays u and expects ur absolute best quality for 1/2 the price
they aren't sure what they want so u have to draw a fully bespoke piece that takes 4+ hours three times...
people think all u do is art 24/7 but the truth is u work another 2-3 jobs because of market saturation in a cut-throat industry...
ur already a human meltdown over the workload n doing ur best n communicating with everyone but people are still constantly putting pressure on u...
people casually threaten to ruin ur career if u don't redraw a piece from scratch
despite all this it's super rewarding and u make a lot of great friends who share the same passion...

Well said Fiebs!
Thanks for input! Might help give some insight to what those who are impatient look like now perhaps .

I am both of these things
Waiting for art is hard, working on art is hard...
Waiting for art is hard, working on art is hard...

To what Fiebs n Mars said -
my input
tbh I don't know what is worse -- individuals complaining about having to wait in a commission que or for their art in general and harassing / pressuring everytime they come online for their art status (since we have no life apparently)
or
those people who continuously crow at us that they must have our art, they must commission an particular artist (you, me, some guy named bob) -- but never get around to it OR once they see the price tag they are like LOL NVM, too rich for muh blood.

On behalf of those of us who don't do art as a serious career so we try our best to keep things simple and support those that do and spread the love/money. Y'all are great. Please keep doing what you do. I know the market is rough but don't give up.
The one advantage of being a hobbyist though is that your income doesn't rely on art so anyone making an awkward fuss...
But seriously knowing that I have art or a trade half from someone else coming up, especially a pro I admire..
MY BOSSOM DOTH HEAVE IN ANTICIPATION.
Then it's here, to be treasured forever...
