Hi, guys. I'm a huge newbie to forums but I have had past and present experiences with rping. I usually Rp Fantasy and post apocalyptic rps but will venture into other genres to try test them out to gain more details on the world of Rp. Me and my friend Griffyn are currently in the process of testing out a new Sci-fi Rp of our own. Details of this rp will be posted for anyone interested in this genre and are committed to rping along side us. We have developed a plot line involving a futuristic world corrupt by politics. We hope to enjoy our stay here, make some allies and overall be welcomed into the community and of course have fun!

Welcome to the site! I look forward to seeing details of your RP posted. Where did you RP before? Tabletop? Maybe in chats?

If you prefer chat interfaces to forums, we have something that might help you out... you can use the "launch chat" button at the top and bottom of any forum topic, whether it's in a private group forum or our public RP forums, to turn your topic into a real time chat! There's also a link in the sidebar of private messages that will let you do the same.

Welcome Trickster!! I already told your friend that this sounds very exciting. For reference, groups are an excellent way of organizing information and creating a little dedicated space to your setting that is easy for everyone to find and refer to. Feel free to check them out!

As someone who started with rping on various chat sites and instant messengers, welcome!

Forums can take a little bit to get used but they do offer certain benefits over chat based stuff, usually in the form of "it's easier to keep track of things". Like Kim said, at the bottom of the page, you'll see a button that says 'Launch Chat!' or 'Chat Now!'. That's very handy, and you can have multiple chat windows up at once - it even tells you how many people are in that thread with you .

It might benefit you to just aimlessly cruise around the site a bit to get more familiar with a forum setting - that helped me a lot back in the day. There's also a pretty good help section, and if you need some hands on assistance you're always welcome to pm a mod, Kim, or me. We are all pretty friendly here, we don't bite! ... Usually !
