Kai dodged to the side, avoiding her fists and whatever strange beam of energy was focusing there. He did not want to be hit. Instead he circled around her and tried to leap from behind.

"What are you doing?" He yelled, the glint of light on the crystal distracting him at the last minute and he realized what had happened. Damn. He needed to get that crystal again.

Emily raised her hand as the crystal shatter " she's gone! " she said. She then shot an orb at him and then back flipped sending disk, the color of blood at him. She then sighed " I forgot the feeling of sinking my teeth into another vampire neck. The soft blood, the neck, Emily's usually the one who kills them. Not me but not today. Shes gone "

Kai gritted his teeth when the crystal shattered. Damn, there went his only option. He looked back at Emily--and then raised his hands up in front of him defensively.

"I am not getting my blood sucked by you. Not again." His voice turned hard and his eyes glittered. "I will kill you if I have to."

Emily smiled but then bared her fangs " let me think about it.... No " She kicked him in the jaw before she flew back and hit a tree. The shattered pieces spoke " you ass! Your dead! ". Emily, the sweet side was invisible. She was a spirit inside of the inner vamp. Her inner vamp hit the tree befor getting thrown into another tree.

Emily looked as her nice side turned visible. She raised her fist as blood drippled down them. She looked down at the ground. " leave him alone! " she hit the inner vampire smack and then she looked. " it's time you go back Into the crystal. " she bite her inner vampire sending her into the crystal. Emily stood still. Her eyes going crazy. They rolled back a little and fell

Kai watched and waited. He dodged when he needed to and kept his distance. He wasn't sure what had happened, but something big must have happened, because Emily's eyes were shifting and twitching.

A light silver light went off and there stood the nice Emily. She grabbed the crystal and put it on her necklace before falling into his lap

Kai flinched and froze where he was. He was half ready to leap away, but he gently lowered his hands to Emily's face and turned her to a more comfortable position.

"Emily?" His hands supported her neck, wondering if the nice version was going to appear.

Emily kept her eyes close for a couple mintues. She was thinking about what had just happened. Her inner vampire took over her and tryed to kill Kai, She somehow hurt the inner form, and the evil side wants revenge.

Her eyes flittered open and then shy looked at him. " Kai.... " she then shifted her head to look at him better " is that you.... " She reached her hand foward to stroke some of his hair " i thought you were killed "

Kai breathed a sigh of relief and leaned forward to kiss her. "Thank goodness. I thought-" he cut himself off and shook his head. "I'm glad you're, uh, alright?" He turned it into a question at the last minute.

Emily turned and sat up. She held her head " Yah, i guess i am alright for now. " She looked around. " but like where are we? " she said. She then asked " who am i? " Her hand keeping her head up because of the pain being to over wheelming

Kai looked around. "As far as I can tell, we're just a mile or two from a small town. Those Hunters hadn't brought any supplies, so they must have left their belongings back in..." He trailed off, his eyes widening, and he jumped to his feet, pulling Emily along with him.

"We gotta go, Em. If the Hunters discover their own are missing--they'll send out a massive search party. And if they find us, even your inner warrior isn't going to be a match for them."

Emily stood up shaky. She held her head " where do we go? I cant think straight " ( sorry its not big )

Kai hesitated and then determination crossed his face. "There's one place I know Hunters won't dare visit. An abandoned village--or so it's rumored--where no human who travels there returns."

He pointed in the opposite direction of the village. "I think it's that way. We'll be able to avoid detection and getting staked. Can you walk?"

Emily looked at him. The village, she had heard of it before. Haunted, people dieing. Everything brought bad memories to her mind. She held her head up, was she going mad? She looked around and then to the village. Maybe she could still kill those hunters.

She snapped back into reality. " I don't know." she said as she tryed to wobble but had to hold onto him. Her eyes looked into the village " are you sure there is nobody there? "

"Won't know until we get there." Kai retorted. "I'm guessing if there is anyone there, they're probably not human. Particularly due to the frequency of humans disappearing around those parts."

He shuddered, forgetting for a moment that he wasn't human. "Our best bet is getting there, anyway."

Emily pulled back as he said the people there were probably not human. " what does that mean? What happens if there vampires, werewolves! I dont know what there could be! " she was angry now. She turned into a tiger before falling to the floor as her head hurt

(whoa, you just gave me an idea for how to tie in Kai's backstory...Thanks!)

Kai hesitated and shrugged. "I suppose it could be either. I hadn't really given it much thought."

He knelt down beside Emily. "Hey, if you shift back to your normal shape, I'll carry you myself. Come on, I'll carry you on my back," he offered.

Emily looked at him and then she sighed. She shape shifted into her human form and barley could stand. " it's my head. I just banged it hard "

He picked her up easily enough. "Then all the more reason you shouldn't walk. If you get sleepy though, tell me. You might have a concussion depending on how hard you hit it."

Kai set off for the so-called 'abandoned' village.

Emily stayed on his back as she was in pain. " Kai.... " she whisperered. She held her head as he walked.
