The Master vampires didn't take long to appear. They found Kai first, being that he was unmoving. "Take him," said the First.

Kai looked up as a menacing shadow fell over him, and then a strong hand clamped around his throat, lifting him to his feet--and then off his feet entirely.

"Call back your precious woman," the First demanded of Kai.

Kai opened his mouth, but no sound emerged. He was trembling far too violently and the hand pressed around his throat was too firm to allow sound anyway. He didn't struggle

"Do not worry; she will come," said the Second Master. "I can sense her. She is not far, though she is giving the 'wolves a run."

Emily heard the sound of her love. She set the forest on fire. She walked into the clearing to see them " get your hands off of him!!! " she ran at him and punched the guys hand that held Kai. She stood infront of him. " please take me. I have so much to offer then him. Leave him alone I don't care what you do to me. Spare his life let him live and roam. He's new and would do nothing. This is not even my inner form, it's not the real vampire "

The first Master Vampire that held Kai didn't even flinch from her punch. He didn't release Kai either.

The Second grabbed Emily from behind, his grip strong against her arms. "You are a rash one, youngling. Though you have been turned long ago, you have only begun to tap into your strengths. Join us. You and him; join us and develop your strengths."

The third remained silent; watching, waiting, observing.

Emily looked " Leave him alone! " She said as her body shape shifted into a dragon. She turned and set the guy on fire the had Kai. " All of you will die! " She said as she used her long tail to hit the vampire that held her. She then brought Kai into her and in her wings as she site everything else on fire. " All of you will die! Its what should happen " Her hair turning whiter and fangs growing. Her body was changing

The vampire she set on fire, seemed to shrug it off. With a flap of his cloak, the fire vanished completely and he was unharmed.

"You will have to do much better than that." The three Master Vampires then shifted as well--into tiny bats. In the blink of an eye, they were gone; disappeared into the shadows of the abandoned city.

Kai lay on the ground, gasping for breath and struggling to sit up. "Wh-what just happened?"

Emily did not respone as she was going into to much pain. She closed her eyes and screamed. She opened her eyes as her hair grew longer and her fangs grew. She looked at the shattered cross and looked at it setting it on fire. She started walking away from Kai and into the shadows.

She stooped and said to Kai. " She's gone " She said as she walked off again

"Who's gone?" he asked and wiped his sleeve across his face. He felt sticky; and when he looked down at himself, he knew why. He was covered in blood. He closed his eyes.

"Where did she go?" he asked, struggling to his feet. "Wait; you're still Emily. You're Emily through and through..." He stumbled after her.

Emily looked " Look at the burning thing on the floor " She pointed to the necklace thats gone " I am leaving for once "

He sighed. "Then so am I. Wait up." He stumbled after her.

Emily bared her teeth " I have no care for anyone any more until i get that necklace back on! "

"Then why'd you burn it with fire?" he asked. "You think I want to come with you? Those Masters are looking for subordinates. I don't know about you, but I'd rather not be one."

Emily looked at him " it was already shattered. You bite me sending a energy through my veins and i couldn't handle it anymore. So it shattered because of my power. I am going to give myself in to the people so you can be safe. " She sighed and then closed her eyes. She mumered something and turned into a cat. She closed her eyes and then fell asleep. A blue light appeared on her chest. It made more blue lights come from it and go up the cats neck. The thing was beautiful as flowers started getting created into it. There was a huge gemstone and she woke up and when she did she had her normal silver hair, short fangs, and not as matured body.

She smiled and then fell into his lap

Kai watched all this with some amount of wariness. But when it seemed she had turned back into her normal self, he tried to relax.

He picked her up and slung her over one shoulder, deciding that the less time they spent under the eyes of three Master vampires, the better. He set off under the starry skies for another town--one not quite abandoned, and one he hoped was free of Hunters.

Emily opened her eyes as her last strand of white hair turned purple. She looked at Kai. " i thought i lost you. " She back flipped off his back and then walked next to him. She looked into his eyes " Why did you bite me? " She held her wrist out and then there were two marks.

Kai stopped and seized her wrist, looking at the fang marks. He then looked at Emily. "I did this?"

He hadn't noticed and he didn't remember the reason behind it. "I would never bite you, Emily. Not on purpose." He scratched his head. "When did I bite you? The last thing I remember was being attacked by a Master vampire and then...wolves." He shuddered, having a faint memory that he should be torn to pieces.

Emily looked at him. She sighed and then looked into his eyes. " I got hurt too. Not just by your bite but by the Master Vampires. I Couldn't do anything because my cross couldn't get taken off. And i knew they wouldn't. The power built up and i couldn't control myself. I went crazy and my cross shattered comepletly. "

She then sighed and added more, " And then your inner vampire was starting to come. You had to bite what ever you could and you bite my arm making my cross also brake because of your bite. I turned into a dragon and protected you. I set everything else on fire and then killed many " because of other stuff "

Kai's eyes widened as the story unfolded. "No... I turned you into that?"

He rubbed his thumb over Emily's wrist, wincing. "I'm so sorry, Emily. I didn't know. I lost control...so much blood and danger..."

He trailed off, his eyes going dark as he recalled a little more. Though it wasn't just him recalling the memory; it was as if his inner vampire was trying to come out.

Emily nodded at him and winced as he touched her wrist as pain still came from it. She had gotten hurt by the other people badly but did not wish to tell him that. She looked into his eyes and then she jumped back. " Kai, take deep breaths. Listen to me " She said as she knew that his inner vampire was coming out

His eyes lifted from the fang marks on her wrist to meet her eyes. His were dark green, almost black. He offered a toothy smile, his grip tightening around Emily's wrist....

And then his eyes were fading back to his usual green, and his grip loosened. "S-sorry." Kai dropped Emily's hand to massage his temples. He had a headache, as the inner vampire struggled to emerge.

Emily looked at him. " Kai, come on. We need to get away from this place ". She grabbed his hands and turned into a tiger and put him on her back and took off. Her paws were beaten up and so was her body. She had gotten hurt badly by the people but she did not mind. She felt the fangs marks on her wrist grow as a red color started coming from them. She stopped and looked at her wrist, blood.
