Kai narrowed his eyes. "Die you mean?" he seized her by the shoulders. "What business could you possibly have that would entitle you to die?"

Emily bite her lip " its because of you. I spared your life and kissed you. I have to so you can live "

"Let me take your place. You have more to live for than I do. Please, don't do this." His grip on her shoulders tightened briefly. "Please. I can't lose you again."

Emily shock her head and turned away from him " dont worry once i die you will see me again in the future "

"You mean, when I die? Or are you coming back like you did just now?" He released his grip on her shoulders and let his hands fall to his sides. "Do you know who's going to kill you?"

Emily nodded her head " yes my old boy friend "

"And you're going to let him? What if you kill him first?" But that would require handling a stake and his very flesh crawled with the idea, let alone the actuality.

Emily bite her lip. " if he dies he has people who will kill me. He is King"

"King of what? And, well, it might just me,but if I'm going to die, I'd rather take out as many who want to kill me as possible." He looked back at Emily. "Are you not afraid to die?"

Emily looked at herself " I was born to die. But i just plead you stay. He is king of some vampires. I am the princess but he is not my father"

Kai nodded and looked down at the ground. "If you want me to stay, I will..." he said unhappily, "But if you need me, don't hesitate to call me." He sought to make eye contact with her, desperate to let her know that he wouldn't mind sacrificing himself for her.

Emily turned and looked " When that crystal glows or brakes. Im gone "

"The crystal?" He closed his hand around the crystal suspended by the chain around his neck. "No...you can't be...you can't die."

Emily looked at him " Keep it. It will remind you of me " She turned to him her eyes looking at his and she closed them and a small tear fell. It was the way like before she had to go out when they kissed but it was diffrent now. She felt more to him.

He saw the tear and even though he didn't understand, he swept her up in a tight hug. He held her close, wishing they could trade places.

"I believe in you," he whispered into her ear. "Wherever you go, whatever happens, I believe in you."

Emily hugged him and let tears go from her eyes " i cant beleive i will come back. They will kill me or take me prisonor. So i will become the queen "

"You will make an excellent queen, I believe that." Kai replied, pulling back to look at her.

Emily cried more " but my king is my ex-boyfriend. " she said leaning into his shoulders again.

He held her close again. "You need only to command me," he said softly. "I will do what I can to help."

Emily did not want this moment to end. He was so warm, strong, and nice.

When they first meet it was matter of killing each other. Then her life changed. She could feel it in the trees and she could feel her father saying * Time. Tick-tock. This boy is the one. Time Tick-tock *. She then knew he was special diffrent. The way she kissed him was true to seel the promise. She then barely bite him and the vampires immdaently knew they had to kiss her. They toghether could over throw James and Mirca.
