Kai looked over at her. The smirk on his face faltering. "You certainly know how to ruin a mood. You don't have to die, but let's forget about that for the moment." He moved closer and kissed her gently on the lips, running a hand through her hair.

Emily smiled and kissed him. The words he did not have to speak but his lips did. The warmth he gave up tommorow she would be heart broken. Better yet she would have to be queen with her ex and have children with him

"Why not be my queen?" Kai asked her softly, even as he continued to stroke her hair. "We'll overthrow that other king and we'll build ourselves a new kingdom..."

He kissed her warmly before waiting for her reply.

Emily looked " I would love that but i can't beleive that. Everybody would hate us. Want to kill us " She said before smiling and kissing him

"That's their problem," Kai replied. "Let them hate us. It's not so different from what it's like now." He stroked her hair again.

Emily looked at him and rested her head in his chest. " I guess but you know what that means "

He sighed and continued to hold her close. "I can guess well enough." He closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths, relishing the fresh air. "I should hate to have to go into hiding...alone."

Emily laid her head on his chest and looked into his eyes " You won't "

He looked at her in surprise, lifting his head slightly. "Really?" If hope flashed across his eyes, it was followed by confusion. "Are you coming with me?"

Emily made her head go up and then said " i can't leave you. I told you, you are the one. My father did too "

"So where I go, you'll go too?" Kai asked, making sure he understood.

Emily looked an rested her head back down on his chest. She closed her eyes but did not answer

She then fell into a soft sleep. She imagined her with her father, Kai, and her sitting down at the table. Kai and her father were laughing and talking. She looked around and turned. Walking to a room she laid down and Kai walked in. He braided her hair with flowers and ribbions. It was as if they knew each other forever. The couple that was meant to be. He softly kissed her lips and she laid down. He smiled and laid next to her.

A mist came and it faded away. It showed him and another girl. She kissed him. Emily looked from the bushes and ran to her father. She cried to him telling him what she saw. He spoke softly " He is still the one " He said wipping her tears away. Emily stopped crying and turned away. She lost him.

Small tears fell from her eyes as they were still closed

Kai watched as she fell asleep, wondering how she could feel so comfortable around him. He gently stroked her hair and then, for something to do, began to braid it.

He stopped when he saw tears forming at the corners of her eyes. "I won't leave you, Emily," he said softly. "If you wish it of me, I will stay by your side. Forever." He wrapped his arms around her, watching as the moon began to set.

Emily felt his diliget hands braid her hair and she let a soft breath out.

She looked at him and opened her eyes, " always? " She said as her eyes still had tears in them

He leaned over so that they were just a breath apart, his eyes directly over hers. "Always," he breathed. "If you'll have me."

Emily looked into his eyes and leaned in and kissed him

Kai turned over so that he pinned Emily to the ground, deepening the kiss a little before pulling back. "Does this mean you're not going to seek death when the sun rises?"

Emily looked at him and blushed " Never "

"Good." He kissed her again, and then slumped over with a sigh. Exhaustion from the turning, from his first feeding, and from the mental and emotional drain of having met and nearly lost someone who would be the most important person in his life, taking its toll.

"Thank goodness," he murmured as sleep claimed him.

Emily laid next to him. She rested her head on his chest and closed her eyes. The nightmares came back and tears fell from her eyes again but she let a couple screams out
