He jolted awake when she screamed, and he tried to shake her awake. "Emily? Emily! Wake up!"

Emily jumped up and screamed. She burried her head into his chest and screamed

If his heart had been beating it'd be hammering in his chest. He held her tight, feeling like she expressed them both. Him in his surprise and fear of what she was feeling.

"What's wrong?" he asked, when she paused for breath. If she paused for breath.

Emily kept her head in his chest and took deep breaths. Her eyes flashed red and stayed that way. She staired at the ground and did not talk. She breathed hard and it was apparent she was going in pain and she was still in it.

"Emily?" Kai loosened his grip so he could look at her. "Talk to me, Emily." His voice was strained. "What's wrong? What're you thinking about?"

Emily looked at him but her eyes were not looking at him really. She turned her head to the forest but fell to the ground. She closed her eyes

"Emily!" Kai shook her shoulder and looked in the direction of the forest. He bared his fangs at the unknown. But the same thought kept repeating in his mind: I can't even do anything here.

Emily cuddled up into a ball. She placed her hand on his hand and squeezed tight. She sent a pulse from her hand telling him * crystal*. She shivered and then closed her eyes

"Crystal? This crystal?" He pulled the chain free of his neck and waved it in front of her face. "What do you need it for?"

Emily laid still near his leg but shivered. Her eyes opened and it was a silvery haze. She looked up at him. Her eyes could show people fighting and her dieing

Kai saw, but didn't understand. "Wh-what am I seeing? Emily? Does this mean...you have to die?"

Emily looked at him small tear forming in her eyes. She staired into his deep eyes.

' dont worry. ' Her father said. Emily looked at him and said " Why i have to worry " Her father looked ' you will live forever but you are a monster. You are born to kill, but not something. You have to brake your love. ' Emily looked at him " if i ever find a guy. " She saw Kai and then her father said ' brake the love ' Emily shock her head " I am keeping him forever in love "

Not knowing what else to do for her, and completely out of his element, Kai gently caressed her face with his fingers. His touch was soft and gentle while his eyes seemed to plead for an explanation. Mostly he just wanted to reassure her that he was still there for her. I don't understand, he thought to himself, but I will do what I can for her.

Emily looked at him. Her eyes searched his eyes and she finally looked at him. She mumbled " Explanations are not good " She said resting her head on his leg. Her eyes were still silver searching for an answer

"Any explanation at this point couldn't hurt," Kai replied. "That is, if you have one."

He leaned back and watched the stars, waiting for her to say something.

Emily did not reply her mind was in to much pain. Her eyes twitched and her body did. She closed her eyes and she tried to go asleep only she would kick or scream. She had gone mute for the moment. She could not tell Kai anything only she could plead for him to help her with her eyes. She came back to screaming and she punched the floor.

Kai could only stand by and watch in horror as Emily reacted to something he could not see or feel. He moved away from her to give her space--and was glad he did when she punched the floor a moment later.

"Emily!" He called her name, helplessly. Wait, he could do this. He had been a ranger, hadn't he? Trained to survive in the wilds? Granted it had been a few months, but it was still fresh. "Hold on."

He fled into the forest looking for a particular plant. If she was hallucinating, dreaming, whatever, it would bring her back to a conscious state. He hoped it would work.

Emily stopped screaming and punching. She reasted her head down. She made the crystal glow so Kai could see something, a vision of some sort.

Emily smiled at him after she turned him into a vampire. She gave him the crystal. Kai looked and asked " what is this? " Emily looke at it " it can let up see stuff that you can normally not see ".

Emily has little strength after sending that vision through the crystal

Kai found the plant just as a vision crossed his eyes. He paused and blinked and swiped a hand across his face but it was still there, lingering, more than a memory.

"Hang on, Emily," he murmured, grabbing a handful of the plant and returning swiftly to Emily's side. "You alive still?" he asked.

Emily flickered her eyes open still she was mute. She made his crystal glow again buy she broke out screaming.
