Kai ripped a leaf from the plants he had collected and he showed it to her. "Eat this, it should help." He didn't wait for her permission before placing it into her mouth.

The glowing crystal made his eyes hurt and head spin. He clutched the crystal with one hand trying to mute the intensity of its light. "Emily! Focus on what you're trying to tell me; focus. All I see is light and it hurts."

Emily focused and sighed. " hush little baby look at it " she whispered trying to say something

A vision popped into Kai's head. It showed Emily and her father playing. She smiled and spun with him. The next day she gave him her journal " I made a story daddy " her father looked at her " what is it about " she smiled " it's about you ande ruling a kingdom. Son and daughter " her dad laughed and so did she. The next day he went out to town to look for a job. Emily stayed home helping her mother who was cruel do the dishes. She hadn't seen her father so she lied to her mother that she was going to her friends place. She ran out into the town looking around for her daddy. She looked down an ally to see her father being attacked by something. She ran for him and tried to save him but it was to late. Her father was gone. The vampire flew into the trees.

Emily broke out screaming in pain and tears came from her eyes

Kai shuddered at the image and then closed his eyes. He grimaced at his own memory stirring from the depths where the vision had awakened it. It was of his mother and father--a vampire hunter team unto themselves. They had laid a trap for a vampire. Only they had sprung it on themselves. A master vampire fed on their struggling, writhing bodies.

"N-no!" He yelled, his eyes opening, blazing. "I hate vampires! I hate them!"

Emily heard this and she started to shiver. Her eyes flickered open and she said " then get away from me " The plant worked and she was fine. She turned into a bird and flew into the trees letting tears come out of her eyes

Kai's anger turned to tears of frustration as he realized he had become what he hated and he had no way of ending the suffering.

He curled up where he was, telling himself that vampires weren't meant to have or feel emotions; that he didn't feel anything for the loss of his parents or for the loss of-- He remembered Emily and his hands curled into fists.

"I don't deserve what I have."

Emily looked at him and turned into a tiger and jumped from the tree. " I dont care what you say. I will still love you forever. I can give you kisses and anything! I love you! "

Kai turned and stumbled to his feet as the tiger approached. He threw his hands up in front of him, as though Emily might attack him.

"I'm not--I can't..." he couldn't continue and faltered. He sank down to his knees again. "If you die, I have no reason to live."

Emily circled him snarling but settled down. She turned into a vampire and looked into his eyes " I haven't died yet. Maybe we can make this enjoyable for a little until i have to- you know what ill try not to die "

Kai looked up at the last part, sure he'd misheard. "What? You won't...?"

Emily looked at him " Yes " She said leaning and putting her forehead on his forehead

"But I-, you-" his voice cracked. "We're vampires. We don't have emotions...do we?" He looked deep into her eyes for her answer.

Emily kept her forehead on his " You dont know vampires. We are dieffrent kind of vampires. There are another kind who are totally diffrent. " She leaned in softly her eyes meeting his

His breath caught in his chest at Emily's closeness. "What kind are we?" he leaned slightly forward, eager to hear, desperate to know.

Emily looked " the nice kind. Or other people would call us the romantic kind " her eyes looked directly into his

Kai smiled, revealing his fangs. "I like that." He moved forward suddenly, brushing his lips against Emily's.

Emily smiled and kissed his lips. Her eyes meet his but she closed them

Kai deepened the kiss, before pulling away. "Thank you."

Emily smiled " Your welcome " She laid her head on his leg

Kai smiled down at her and ran his hands through her hair. "How long shall we stay here? An eternity? Half an eternity?"

Emily looked " vampires dont die unless they are killed. So i think we should move " She stood up
