It is time. SASA or Solar Aeronautics and Space Administration has made a discovery on faster than light travel. By using a contraption that manipulates wormholes and space itself, a spaceship armed with such a device can travel faster than light speed. Of course it's still experimental technology, and it's never been tested on anything bigger than a 18-wheeler, but what could possibly go wrong? It seems safe enough.
On Mars, in Altith, a sunny continent with palm trees and the like surrounded by ocean, are wanting volunteers to board the HAZENHOTH faster than light ship for a test run. The ship itself is not that big, accompanied by an artificial gravity system, a bathroom, several bedrooms, a kitchen, oxygen generator, machine and engine room, and even an arcade. It's built both for luxury and reinforced for travel, with a monochrome shade of paint on the outside giving it a futuristic look. A trail of stairs lead up to the bulk-head door, leading to the flight deck.
You have made your reservation a few days ago, and are now being transported to Altith this very moment. The shuttle doors open and you are greeted with the sight of the space-craft... There's nothing left to do but board and strap in.

Elizabeth had been informed that she wouldn't have to take much for the journey, as the ship itself would be well stocked with all that they would need for the trip. Regardless, she felt the need to take quite a few things. Most of the things she packed would be considered not regular items to take for a trip by most people. In the large duffle bag slung over her shoulder she had packed a toothbrush, hairbrush, clothes... and underneath all of that she had packed her laser carbine rifle and her visor helmet. Admittedly she hadn't bothered to fully read through the agreement that she signed on, so she didn't know if firearms or armor were allowed on board. Despite that, she wanted to try and smuggle her equipment on board anyways. After all, if this thing is experimental, and they're treading into unknown waters of science, then she wanted to take a few personal precautions.
When the transport's doors opened, she brushed her hand through her blonde hair with blue tips and gave a long whistle when she took in the sight of the ship. "Now that's a beautiful ride, right there." Without much hesitation, she adjusted the duffle bag on her back and got off the transport, walking towards the ship.

Jackson had barely slipped out of bed to the shuttle this morning, and had nothing on him save his tool box, as that was with him every minute of every day. He yawned and looked around the shuttle, seeing what seemed to be eager people. He saw nobody else that matched the description in his mind of an engineer. This was good and bad. No competition, but he had to mantain the ship on his own. There was the chance one of these people was however an engineer.
His thoughts left as he saw the doors fly open. He looked up at the ship they were to board, and heard a voice, praising the ship. He was speechless, and could not wait to learn this ship top to bottom. With a smile like that of a child looking upon a candy store, and being told he could buy ecerything in it he began walking swiftly to the ship.

Alisha had packed a carry-on of the things she needed. Clothes, brush, makeup, toothbrush, toothpaste, a book or two, her journal, and a few things women need to take care of themselves. And of course, she brought a few caffeine pills with her. She wasn't one for sleeping. She was both excited and anxious for this voyage. She would have an experience not many would have until the future, but her mind almost made her believe that it was far too good to be true.
When the doors opened, her jaw went slack in awe as she saw the magnificent spacecraft. In the past, she would have only seen such things in books, but now here she was. Excited to explore, she followed behind a man, entering the ship with a smile on her face as she clenched onto her bag.

The bulkhead opened, revealing the clean looking flight deck, with three seats made for each of them. The control panel is a complex contraption, but ultimately featuring the same steering sticks, switches, buttons, and other things which common solar spacecraft use.
There are a set of stairs which lead downward into the ship, featuring all the doors to the other rooms, ultimately leading downwards into the engine room.

Elizabeth climbed aboard and took a brief look at the three pilot seats and the room around her, her gaze eventually shifting to the set of stairs a little ways away. After taking it in for a moment she turned around to set her eyes on the people she would be accompanying on the journey. Between the two of them she soon realized that it was probably a good idea that she brought a weapon and her visor, because these two do not look like fighters at all.
Being the 'kind' individual that she was, she decided to introduce herself to the both of them. Of course, this involved an overly dramatic bow, to which she raised her head back up with a smirk. "Elizabeth Breen, destructive extraordinaire. Looks like I'll be joining you two for the trip. What are ya names?"

Jackson walked into the ship and took a look around. He hlanced over everything in the cockpit and walked back to the staircase. He heard Elizabeth speak and spun around to greet her. "Jackson Fairbanks, 'engineer protege' as they called me as a kid. With that being said I should probably go and get familiar with the engine and the ships systems."
Alisha moved towards the control panel, studying everything for a moment. She then looked up at Elizabeth, smiling softly as she tossed her bag onto her shoulder. She nodded her head towards the engineer, then took a small breath. "My name is Dr. Alisha Grimms, I am a medical specialist." She said shortly, bowing her head. "Excuse me, I would like to put my things away and then perhaps we can chat more." She said, waving to her as she went down the stairs to find their quarters. "I am excited to work with you both."
An intercom on the ship buzzes, with the voice of a man following behind. "I am Director Sandhill, and im here to make sure everything goes smoothly. We'll be launching in fifteen minutes. Go ahead and explore the ship a bit during that time. If you have any questions use the universal radio at the flight deck."
Elizabeth nodded at the two of them as they headed off to conduct their own business. Adjusting her duffle bag on her back, her head perked up at the intercom. Once Sandhill had finished speaking, Elizabeth thought for a moment before heading further into the ship, calling out behind her to no one in particular, "Got it, chief." Soon enough she found herself entering one of the bedrooms. She took only a moment to look around it, before setting her duffle bag down and taking her things out of it.
The engine rooms contains a variety of machines. From console screens to input commands to humongous walls of switches, buttons, pipes, massive humming engines, which were all delicately labeled for their uses. The even was a walk-way to an evacuation/exploration shuttle.
But one thing stood out more than the most... a capsule-like machine, almost as big as a horse, covered with reinforced pipes, command consoles, and a big red lever labeled : "IN CASE OF AURUMIC MELTDOWN, PULL LEVER". On the top-most side of the machine lays a layer of reinforced glass, and inside is a strange orb of dark-colored energy, with multi-color static hitting the sides of the machine...
The bedrooms were quite luxurious. With a queen sized bed and a steel wardrobe. As well as a top of the line computer at a neat desk, as well as a flat-screen TV in each.
